How far is the lume off the original hands with the sekosis dial?

It's not too far off i think. It's almost exactly as you see in it in my video.

@@Little_Britain74 After going through 2 set of hands (WR and Seikosis), it became apparent to me that the lume on the Rdunae hands are close enough with the lume on the seikosis dial. You're right, it's not that far off.

I wana do it too now XD I had Willard homage from Steeldive. Sold it recently. Liked it in general but wanted that extra touch of OG. And i knew Rdunae is doing it way way better. I'm thinking to get either their version of Willard or homage of Tornek Rayville, which i also love. Guess I'll grab them both eventually XD

Hahaha i heard that the next version of rdunae r2x is going to be even closer to the original 6105-8110! Might be a good idea to wait for that version to be available! Yeah it’s a lot of fun!!!!

Would you be willing to sell a Rdunae R2 with the Seiko mod dial? If not, do you have a moding kit you recommend? I am thinking of getting into moding just to add that Seiko dial.

Im planning to replicate what @zikan did and would really need a lot of guidance on how to proceed. A modding kit together with some guidance and direction in sourcing parts and other stuff for the build in needed. However, the thought of buying a modded one (Rdunae R2 with the Seiko mod dial) did cross my mind. The cost vs. benefit of building one not too mention errors and "accidents" through the modding process is indeed there.

Are you going to brush the logo? R2 and R2X are amazing watches, I've got them along with the modern Seiko reinterpretions but those classic designs are just so perfect, clone or not I wear them with pride and avoid the risk of really banging up or losing a £1000+ Seiko.

Hey Jack! I'm going to leave the logo as is because 1. I don't have the guts / confidence / skills to do any mod on that dial 😂 2. The logo on it is sort of matte and looks ok as is for me! I absolutely agree about the R2X! I'm waiting for them to restock the R2 on the platform that I usually buy it from but yeah! R2 looks killer as well! I've been wearing the R2X and, like you mentioned, it's really nice to wear it without having to worry about getting it banged up! That classic look is awesome!

Hi Zikan, was it necessary to remove the metal legs from the new dial? Seikosis sells the 3.8 and 4.2 crown dials and I would imagine that the R2X has the 4.2 crown but maybe I'm wrong

Hi Renato!! The R2X has a 4 o'clock crown position so it's slightly off in terms of alignment. I'm not sure if there's a way to fit it without cutting the feet off. :( Thanks for asking!!!!

I've been looking all over the Internet for someone who documented swapping a Seiko dial onto an AliExpress watch, can you make one for an skx?

Hi! Thanks so much for commenting! I don't have any plans to do a SKX mod at the moment. However, if you're looking into doing a dial swap on an AliExpress watch, it's very straight-forward as long as you choose the right dial for the movement / case / crown position.

@@zikandesu in your experience, with nh35 AliExpress skx homage watches, are most of them using the standard 28.5mm dial? And are the chapter rings also sized for those dials?

I've never bought a SKX homage from AliExpress so I'm not 100% sure but I think it's ok to assume that a lot of them use the 28.5mm dial. A lot of them specify supported dial size on the product page. I would guess that the chapter ring is also sized accordingly. One thing you might want to keep in mind is that there are a lot of shops/seller, selling almost identical products while the dimensions may vary between shops. you are better off asking the shop directly and I'm sure they'll be willing to give you all the necessary info. Hey Alvin! I haven't looked at it with my loupe (and my eyes are sort of old and failing) but from what I can see I don't think it's brushed. But it's definitely matte and doesn't really reflect light like a polished logo. I'll have a look at it next time I'm at my workshop and let you know!
