Incredible watch! I’ve been looking to buy one for over a year, as my first luxury watch, its just so beautiful, without feeling like a „basic“ choice, the white gold dial and bezel, sapphire crystal and the moonphase just make it such a perfect watch in my eyes

I also ordered the 12H bezel insert from the same place without having the watch yet haha. I found relatively few watches with 12H rotating bezels even though they seem easier to read than a lot of GMTs.

Does it have super lume like seiko?

Loving the upgrade, makes that minute dial stand out a treat (or double minute dial effect). Is there a video showing your work? Crystal details would be great also. Recently subscribed to CousinsUK for spares but it's an absolute minefield!

Can you get a Sekosis dial feet at 4' O'clock position? My watch maker refused to fit my AliExpress 6105 dial as would have to snip the feet at 4.2 and stick the dial which he said are notorious for eventually coming loose.

Very beautifull watch! i've wanted to make a video as well but never really got to it... i've got a couple of them and there are also 38mm models but they are a bit different in movement and dial color. They did a re-issue in 2010 and those are insanely rare, they have pencil type markers instead of the triangle, obviously different movements but they keep the same identity with them. Have you noticed the tips of the hands bend along the pie pan dial? one of my favorite details about these.

Hello, I know it can be hard to see on camera, but do you think the lume on the seikosis dial is strong enough to be legible during night use? I’m starting my own r2x mod with the same dial that I’m going to turn into my daily, and I’m considering reluming the dial if the lume’s weak, or reluming the r2x hands to match the seikosis dial if the dial’s lume is good enough. Thanks

Watched your previous video this week and whilst I had some time yesterday, decided the time was right to change the dial I bought from Seikosis months ago. Super pleased with the .look. I couldnt tell a lot of difference with the hands so will leave mine alone.

Would you be able to post a video where you showed the difference in crown guard more clearly? in most of the video the light seems to be shining on the cases from ~10 o'clock (opposite side to where the crown is) which makes it hard to clearly see the difference around the crown guard. It might also be clearer if the watches were straight up and down instead of at 45 degrees to screen? I bought one of the previous version of r2x where the upper part of crown guard was thin, and it was the main thing I was disappointed with. I ended up buying a feiyashi case which is nearly the same case, but had a thicker top crown guard. I'm curious about how close the feiyashi case looks to the new r2x. I don't think they can be *exactly* the same case because feiyashi cases have crown at 4.1 but r2x seems to have crown exactly at 4 o'clock. But I think they must be made in the same factory. (The bezels look ~ identical between feiyash and r2x.)

Just done the same only the thickness of the crystal was 1mm smaller thickness wise. Also no AR coating. Looks the business double indices all round. 51 degree chamfer. Cheers

Question brother, can you brush the original bezel on the 120512 or is it a chrome coating that will come apart if i try to brush it?

I’m glad you are doing these videos on these models..as time goes on they are improving especially getting rid of the blue AR coating! Btw how do I get a dial for the newer models to where I don’t have to cut the dial feet? Because I saw you still Had to cut them and I’d want to avoid that if possible

Not even SLA033 has that refraction. Nice job!

I think it looks good.The original 6105 does have alot of refraction of the minutes through the cystal bevel and is slighly domed.

The crystal change really looks good! Good job! Im excited on my modding Journey. Ordered all the need resources yesterday including the R2X.
