I'm very grateful that you took the time to record and upload this wonderful Sutra. There are so many lessons that can be learned within and that certainly can help ease the suffering of beings.

Thanks for reading this! I love how when I first started my sitting practice, this, Heart Sutra, Sandokai, ANY Dogen, etc., went flying right over my head like some kid throwing a paper airplane. As time goes by, the airplane is starting to hit me right in my face as a lot of what Buddha speaks about becomes blatantly obvious. I’m currently having a lumbar issue, and if that doesn’t show that the Diamond Sutra is true, I don’t know what does. Edit: More sutras, if you could. Dogen is wonderful, but sometimes a little source material. Even the longer Zen poems by the older masters. Hearing them read adds a great deal of clarity.

Many many thanks for posting this audio reading of this sutra!! I rejoice at your efforts and I hope you can continue posting all other sutras as well!! Please do!!
@zenaudio108 Жыл бұрын
Hi. Other sutras take a lot longer to record so I am mostly concentrating on Dogen's writings but you may find the Dharmachakra Wheel of the Dharma channel meets your needs as regards to other sutras.

Wonderful resource, thanks. I have a suggestion: turn away from the microphone when you take the breath before you speak. I find hearing your mouth open and your in breath somewhat distracting. Though I realize that this feeling is in me and thus ultimately my problem. 😂

Thank you for the feedback. This was recorded early on in my recording endeavours and I had yet to discover the miracle that is a pop filter! As a result of this I have re-recorded some of my early efforts and it may be that this one is ripe for a do over.

Is it possible,,, I listen it in Hindi. ????????
@jeanpaulmacabre4 жыл бұрын
Steve Robson Pali and Hindi are mutually unintelligible. Also, this is a Mahayana sutra and wouldn’t be chanted in Pali. I really wish KZbin didn’t get rid of messages. Now everything looks like a call out and it isn’t how I mean it. I just want to be helpful. HOWEVER, the Tibetan diaspora in northern India probably has some Hindi chants of classic Mahayana sutras.

Why do you think it is Christian? Red Pine is known as one of the best translators of Buddhist material from Chinese. There are a variety of available translations you can look at, though, if you don't like this one.
@gst93253 жыл бұрын
@@zenaudio108 for example: no such thing as soul in buddhism. if anything it should have been translated as mind, which is not mentioned once.

@@gst9325 That's the point exactly. If the concept of 'soul' is constructed then one is not a bodhisattva by consequence.
