In Hebrew it is 'born anew.' The phrase which reflect the heart of the New Testament for it requires a deep transformation of the human spirit.

@@mrm8850 Well the deep transformation is the holy spirit (God) begins to fully dwell in a person which transforms a christians character. That is something God does because we obey his word and stay in his word. This compels the person to speak the word of God because God dwells within.

Cross is a pagan symbol. As to heaven I will let the word of God answer that. Rev 7:9,10,13-17 and 2 Cor 6:17,18

When I was baptized they used the words spirit directed organisation. They took away the authority of Jesus (as you mentioned) and became the mediator and equal to Jesus. Which in itself is idolatry and the worship of men. Obedience is better than a sacrifice and Acts 2:38 clearly states the steps to get in through the narrow door.
