Great watching this guy. He's jumps around like a spring and obviously has great mental clarity. He picks up these footwork drills quickly. He's like the Wolf from Pulp Fiction. A true professional. The spring like movement is all about bringing the right mentality day in and day out to training while also maintaining correct systematic muscle balance. It doesn't matter how strong one muscle group is if it completely dominates the others.

Some semi-pros and most pros have about this level of technique. What differentiates the men from the boys is quick in game decision making and fitness. That makes all the difference. And obviously, the shooting ,passing accuracy and close control of world class players is just other worldly.

A lot of people seem to focus too much on how technically proficient he is performing the drill. People are looking straight past how game oriented his practice is. His base has mobile potential to move out of the drill at many points (the more points/moments the better) in time during the drill. For example: When he moves left, he possesses the potential to move right... he moves fast and has potential to slow it down too. When the commands are yelled out he is listening, not just reacting. He knows ahead of time what he wants to do, but is practicing presence at the same time...

Absolutely quality player and video!! Things I would really like to see is his technical ability during high running-speed, 1v1 without the ball and how he deals with pressure in a game. Most of the times these are exactly the situations that differ a player like him from a 1st / 2nd league player in Europe. All the best for the future 🏆

In order to succeed at Ajax or to become a real top player, your basic technique must be of a very high level, as is apparent from this video, but the most important thing is football intelligence and insight, continuous effective reasoning of the situations, or effective insight. shoot against a wall and jump into hoops and I know a lot, you will not get any worse from it, but you will not actually get any better because your base must be good to succeed, football is 11v11 with a ball on 5000m2 space; so you will have to learn how to use that space in a smart and effective way. but especially do your thing with children that is good for them but if a 16.17 player still has to do this then it is too late in my eyes
@ryanzondag6982
@ryanzondag6982 5 жыл бұрын
Yas Yas the basics can always be improved and refined as you can see from any professional environment where there are plenty of people above 16 training to improve their skills
@YY-zg1lj
@YY-zg1lj 5 жыл бұрын
Ryan Zondag you will not be a better football player to shoot against a board and jump into rings you will only be better to shoot against a board and jump into rings, the basis you need to become a good football player who then has to use it under pressure of time space and opponents. I see many athletes focusing on agillity in my eyes that is a big miscalculation. you will become very good at agillity while the football game is very different
@JonerFootball
@JonerFootball 5 жыл бұрын
Yas Yas agree & disagree. Totally agree that it is all about the game & what they do in a game. Football IQ & game understanding is the most important thing. However, disagree with you saying 16/17 year olds shouldn’t do this. Maybe try telling the thousands of top professionals that train in an isolated environment. Sebastian is coming to me to get sharp & work on his conditioning whilst getting touches of the ball. When I played pro. Almost every session players would do extra technical work on their own regardless if they were very good at it or not. There is no such thing as perfection in football. I did say in the video that there is more factors between an amateur and a pro. Game intelligence being one of them. 🤙🏻
@YY-zg1lj

Joner 1on1 Football Training how nice that you respond yourself, what you do in the videos there you are very good at motivating enthusiasm temporising good throwing etc top. player come to be sharp with you that I understand, what you do there you are very good at and in my eyes those guys come purely for you. the sessions are streamlined with good material and varied exercise material. you will not be a better footballer because this part that you do is out of proportion with other much more important features. this guy in this video will probably do better than busquets, certainly faster and that is my answer. many trainers scouts etc especially at professional clubs they make many other things much more important than what it is really about, that is fed by willing players who have a lot of commitment and assignment discipline. the better footballers drip off at a young age because they notice that it is not about the essence of football, one feeds the other, so you sometimes ask yourself, I often ask myself "how is it possible that this guy is playing on that stage" (best expl lichtsteiner from Arsenal). point is your part is nothing to compare with football intelligence and insight and that is harder to train than agillity. again nice that you have responded and wish you a lot of football fun

it depends. Receiving a pass at 100km/h isn't easier to control than a pass at 50km/h. But I agree.

I know kids here in Africa that can do that minus any academy training in football. He's quicker, more precise, with less errors and two footed though

4:48 should of had a better touch. In the real game you can't have any mistakes like that. Your touch has to be clean to play professional. He was also flat footed when he got the ball.

Now i will catch a lot of flak for this but this video further pushes my agenda that sometimes.................... you simply are not good enough. Meaning not enough god given ability/talent. Many world class players could not do this drill much better than he could and he sadly did not even stay with ajax's second team. Obviously you have to take position into account im sure many prem or la liga CBs could not do the drill as crisp and as clean as him but i digress. If de bruyne or tiago or veratti or bernardo silva or any other world class CM did the drill and you simply saw there sillouhete you probably wouldnt be able to guess who was who. Basically yes drills are very important but taking your moments and showing out when certain people are watching is key. We all know players who got a good chance because they played the best game or tournament of their life and now they cannot live up to expectations. I hope this kids continues to train and best of luck to him.

Frankly, don't get me wrong he is very very good and talanted player, but from few touches even I can find out that he is right footed, he is sharp but not smooth enough for top class. I used to train with technically gifted players and his level looks average to me. I just want to make a point, these drills are good for amateur but for pro is just a basics it is essential.
