Hi thanks for the video Zeekr have just started allowing test drives in Oslo Norway. I'm waiting to be given a time slot for a test drive. Currently no prices have been announced, but in Norway if the value of the car is > 500 000 nok (USD 47 500/RMB 339 000) tax on amount above is 25%. In the Netherlands the price you are using includes VAT of EUR 10 324 (USD 11 500/RMB 82 000). So pre tax price is EUR 50 166 incl. delivery (USD 56 000/RMB 399 000). So would be interesting to know what tax is included in the RMB price in China for the model you are comparing with the Long Range RWD. Unfortunately Zeekr doesn't include a detailed list of what is standard equipment for the 3 versions being sold in Europe, so very difficult to compare prices until we know what equipment is included. From my perspective, I would wait until the upgraded 24 model can be delivered, as the charging performance is exceptional on the newer model and I think the updated instrument cluster and interior is nicer. In my opinion Zeekr are going to make the same mistake as NIO and launch an outdated version as NIO did with the ES8. The early adopters who bought the old model ES8 which had been on sale in China for 2 years before it was launched in Norway got a bad surprise when a year later NIO moved to a new platform and found out the old ES8 couldn't be ugraded to the latest SW. Their situation hasn't been helped by NIO offering a huge discount to sell the old ES8 and original buyers have seen their resale values sink.

Range on Chinese site is CLTC which is ultra optimistic. In Europe it's WLTP which is a bit less optimistic. For the prices, you add the transport and the taxes (10% + now 20% extra starting from July) and some more markup to make up for the price war in China.

Fair enough CLTC is probably rainbows and sunshine indeed...for me the real range is around 450 and in most ideal circumstances 500km. But yeah i've heard about the 20% price increase indeed. Will China also get that Price increase? As far as I know they wanted to raise it in west right?

@@kayipexploresChina will not get this, as this is something the European union has decided to hinder the competition from Chinas car manufacturers. The issue is, not even the European car manufacturers want this tax as their market in China is bigger then it's European counterpart. So, when China fights back and raise their import taxes on European vehicles, the European car manufacturers will loose market shares in China.... Eg.. Jobs in Europe. Big win for EU. Not.

@@HotelGolf82 it's an interesting discussion they said something about "Unfair Competition" but to be honest only the classic car manufacturers are probably saying this (i'm eyeing Mercedes, BMW, Audi, VW etc) But let's see what it does to the prices...if the prices go up 20k then you can forget it that europeans will buy this car...i think it does something with the freedom rights of car manufacturers pricing...when you are a new car manufacturer you can't even decide your own prices anymore? I think that's a bad direction to be honest...but we will wait until the verdict (nothing else we can do)

I’m not sure if the zeekr is planned to come to the United States any time soon because I saw they’re focusing on Europe first but the question is mostly when… I’m sure they will open up the market sooner or later but yeah no news about the US market as of now

Prices will be higher soon as a rsult of Zeekr, along with other Chinese car manufacturers, did not fully cooperate with the EU’s recent anti-subsidy investigation. The EU Commission reported that Zeekr's parent company Geely, among others, failed to provide requested data on subsidies and financial structures, resulting in potential tariffs on their imported EVs. The EU’s anti-subsidy measures are targeting what it perceives as unfair pricing advantages due to significant government subsidies in China, which the EU believes distort fair market competition in Europe. Though the EU has not finalized specific tariffs yet, retroactive tariffs could apply to Chinese EVs imported as early as July 2024. This may result in a variable tariff percentage being applied to imports based on the findings, with industry estimates suggesting rates could reach 30% to 50% in some cases if imposed broadly, this will be in addition to the standard inport duty of 10%

I think that the brown interior color is overdone. I don't mind a 2 tone interior with bits of the seat color being on parts of the door and dash, not the steering wheel or the top of the dash, definitely not the carpet. Headliner can be dark or light color but, not the same as the seats. For the Orange and Grey version, it would be nice to have the bolsters in that orange color or it could be the seating portion.

Yeah there aren’t much to choose of to be honest just two interior colours and that’s it but yeah they kept it simple so I get that the production is a lot simpler for them … but I agree there should be more options

@@kayipexplores Reminds me of a “butter” colored interior car Volvo was giving me a great deal on. It was beige all over the interior, seats, dash, steering wheel, door cards, roof, even the floor carpets and mats. Deal was really good but, I couldn’t do it. LOL! I don’t know who ordered it like that, it was the only one they had like that. I would take this brown interior over that.

Thanks for this video! Zeekr EVs are developed and designed in Gothenburg, Sweden by almost 1000 employees. Zeekr cars was first released in Sweden followed by the Netherlands and some other European countries, so there is no "Netherland market". The price difference seems to be the EU tax on Chinese made EVs. The range diffefence is bc of different measuments

According to what Zeekr Europe announced they are going to push the Zeekr brand to 6 countries by the end of 2024 Netherlands, Germany, France, Norway, Denmark, and Sweden. but fair enough over the price...EU tax are always necessary I Guess but I think it was a nice observation how much price difference there was (i think people will still buy it nevertheless).

Chinese EV's were overpriced in EU before the EU EV Tariff was introduced - at this point it still hasn't been introduced. It is the only reason I agree with the tariff, to product consumers from greedy manufacturers.

@@xMI55IONx yeah the zeekr 001 is getting more expensive with 2000 euro at least the Privilige edition...it went up from 67.490 to 69.490 for exactly the same car. Don't forget 1000 delivery costs so the car costs in the end 70.490...i'm really curious how much other countries need to pay for

you should mention that chinese version is a mid-cycle restyle with a better battery (800V), newer engines (780hp dual motor) and new exterior and interior. They sell outdated version as a 'new' car for a 20k bigger price, brilliant! And people still buy it

Yes for sure Zeekr Europe definitely is making money on this as the price is 20-25k euro over-charged. But if you include all the options that you can select in China it is 15k overcharging (still alot). But there are no other choices to buy (and importing a chinese version a lot of things won't work in europe...so I wouldn't make that risky bet) so people will still buy it indeed

Worth mentioning is that we got import taxes to Europe that is the entire price difference more or less. So "selling an outdated version for a bigger price" is not correct. Also, we got approval processes in Europe that makes it hard to release something as fast as in China.

@@HotelGolf82 Yeah i think we shouldn't forget about the import taxes and costs to bring it all the way to the netherlands...it's just that alot of things people forget (it is still a chinese car but most people only see the price and argue about that). But talking about "outdated" is kinda weird because there is nothing wrong with the car that is being sold in Europe. the new facelift wasn't announced when I bought the car so with the knowledge back then I wouldn't know. but even if i knew I knew for sure this facelift model would take at least 1-2 years before it comes to the european market...and i needed a car within 3 months so yeah that was not an option for me

Chinese version in 2024 get new facelift called "all new 001" It received minor changes, such as the type of the battery and motor this increased range and increased horsepower, they add tow in facelift and the biggest change was in the interior, including increasing the number of speakers, screen, and dashboard, in addition to reducing the price, but European or rest of world 001 get 2024 old model, im waiting lunch "all new 001" to buy it.

The thing is that zeekr doesn’t know when the Chinese facelift version will come to Europe (I already asked it at zeekr support) also the 007 is not known when it is coming…currently there are no plans for that but I’m guessing it’s just a matter of time ( I’m gunning for end 2025)
