actually why we feel like that is because before you watch this video, you already have some exposure or a little bit info about that topic from your teacher. that's why we always feel youtube video make us clear more on that topic than our teacher. if you dont believe me, try watch a topic you never heard before in youtube. you will also feel difficult to understand and may need to rewatch multiple times to understand it.

distance is the total area or distance covered by a body , its always positive meaning by no matter what are your starting or ending points are, as soon as your car's tire start moving, it start covering distance. Displacement is the shortest distance between two points, usually measured through a straight line, it can be positive, if the ending point is on left side of starting point its negative and wise vera. I hope you understood.

While you say velocity=0 after covering a circle because there is no directional issue but don't you think the direction is changing continuously and there exists velocity
@i-Sensei-XII2 жыл бұрын
Exactly , I have also doubt in that
@checohidalgo9873 Жыл бұрын
He didn't touch on the difference between average velocity and instantaneous velocity. When the bike covered a full circle and back to it's original start point it's average velocity for the whole trip around was zero because there was no displacement. But the instantaneous velocity was present every time he took a small turn to complete the circle , so you could say the instantaneous velocity of the biker was 1km/h due north,northeast,south, souwest and north for a brief second in time, throughout that whole circle ride he was instantaneously accelerating as well since his velocity was changing.

diffrence between mass and weight
@tadiqshahid46255 жыл бұрын
Mass = mass Weight =mass * gravity
@TheDeluxe4O5 жыл бұрын
To further contribute. Mass is defined as the amount of matter (stuff) in an object and is usually measured in grams. Weight is defined as the gravitational force that is applied to an object. As pointed above my comment, weight = mass x gravity. Notice how I used force in my definition? Now take a second look at the equation, do you notice that the definition of a force is this, F=ma where m is a mass and a is any acceleration. Well it turns out gravity is an acceleration and since weight involves a mass and an acceleration (of gravity) we can say that weight is in FACT a force.
@prakharpratapsingh51884 жыл бұрын
@@TheDeluxe4O ok, so weight is a force and mass is a mass. So weight is not the basic entity, whereas mass is an independent basic entity. So, since my weight is 70kg, my mass is 7.1377kg, (divided by 9.807) So why we just don't measure our mass instead of measuring our weight, its the basic entity, independent of anything. And if I go in space my weight would become 7.1377kg because there's no acceleration. But by formula "f=ma", my mass would become f/0, I don't know what "f" is, but from it I can surely tell that my mass "m" would not be equal to 7.1377, it would be either "+/-infinite" or "0/0". so, what is my mass in space?

I understand that the example involving the biker going in a circle is giving an example of speed, as there is no change in position after the trip was completed, but would there be a velocity component at every point along this circular path as you are changing directions at every point when moving in a circle? Thanks!
@Badzilla5 жыл бұрын
Yes, There would be, The velocity is only zero relative to the starting position in this case, but there is a directional change along the trip. If the biker had stopped half way, there would be a velocity that corresponds to the direction he stopped at.
