The Differences Between Quills, Bendies, and Spinners

Since the introduction of our new products we've had a lot of questions on what the differences are between the three types of flags that we offer that have a rod in them (as opposed to swing flags and wings which don't have a rod). This compares the large 8mm wing in a quill, bendie, and spin wing.

Please please can you clue me in to how you ensure the flag will spin around the pole? I'm not in business, just making 6 flags for an Easter thing. Have wooden dowels, but may need acrylic for smooth spinning? How /where do I get acrylic if needed.

You should be able to make it work with wooden ones as long as they are smooth. Essentially it uses centrifugal force. I have a DIY post about capped rods (which are what we use on spin flags/wings) in the DIY section of our blog. I understand completely! I’m not sure if you saw our small bendie flags but that is a really good place to start and the price point is relatively friendly. You also could start with a single regular wing, or a single large flag. Those are also easy ways to start and more budget friendly 😊
