My first flags was a gift from a friend a quiver. Love it because it is so light and easy to use and can flag for long period during overnight worship. During intercession I use twirling flags size S and M mostly. Later on manage to purchase in Malaysia a pair of wing flags with rod sewn in. At that time choices offered were very limited and could not afford to purchase from oversea. However Abba is good. He teach me how to use it. Did not have any tutorial from anyone except for the figure 8. About two years now I also started using a pair of silk streamers. Recently purchased wings this time with the rod to hold. Again with this Abba is guiding me how to use sometimes even how to position my legs

I use stick flags but would love to use the flex flags. They seem more graceful

It takes getting used to. I personally prefer the flexion poles with 20% flexibility; not quiver poles with 50% flexibility. The really bendy poles can have a lot of drag in the movement.

I have never used a swing flag. Don't know where to get quills to make those type but I get unbreakable flexors from a supply house for my flags. I love them! I'd love to have the multi-layered flags you make.

I have been using wood pole worship flags forever, but I wanted to try a more flexible pole variation. The demonstration with the swing flags and the flex pole may work to extend my worship. I do move quite quickly so the swing flags may be my priority choice.

Thanks for sharing your video, not sure where you are, but we are in Summerside PEI and we just got a snow dump and digging out. Anyhow as I was watching your video you asked us about the different types of poles used and what we use. As for me I started worship flagging about nine years ago and I first started off with the wooden pole flags. What I found with the wooden poles flag and material for the flags, is that they did not flow or cut through the air very well and caused fatigue and cramping in my hands when used long term. Plus I discovered shortly after flagging that I am a flag dancer and I needed something light weight and flow with he least resistance as possible when dancing. I progress to a billow or large shawl for flag dancing and did that for a year. Then during my private worship time I had a vision of a unique flag that flows like a feather. Then I started a search on the web and came across a woman in California that just started making light weight silk quills flags and posting them on the web about the same time I had this vision of them. As soon as I seen her video of a quill flag in motion, I knew in my Spirit that this was the flag in my vision. I order my first pair and when I first tried them out, it was like falling in love all over again. There was no more hand fatigue and when dancing with them it was like I was flagging with a feather. I have tried to go back to wood and even tried a few of my fellow flaggers flex rods flags, but it is not the same as my quill flags. So for me and my ministry in Worship Flagging, the quill flag works best for me in my worship expression to our King. I have youtube video to share of myself using my latest and favourite quill flags if you like me to share it with you sometime.

Hi Terry; so good to hear from a Canadian. Recently I had some friends move to Summerside, maybe you know them? Josh Hoffert and his family, and another gal who used to work with me. They moved there to work alongside the ministry of John (can't remember his last name). How big is Summerside? Perhaps there are a lot of charismatic churches there and you have no idea who I'm talking about. You ordered flags from Nickol, in California. I know her too. What a small world,? Yes, I do know Josh. Not sure of John’s last name. Josh and his family move to Summerside and attend our church, Summerside Community Church, . Summerside population is about 15,000. It was through a facebook notice today of Josh that I seen that he like your page and that is how I found you. Our church is consider a larger then normal church on PEI with a congregation around 350 plus. We are bless with the leadership in our church that is very open to many forms of expression of worship, including Flagging, Dancing and Painting (Arts). We moved into our present location four years ago after renting for about 16 years. When we moved in I was asked to Oversee the Flagging, Dancing and Arts (Painting) Ministry. We have up to four flaggers per Sunday worship time. We have one very special couple that moved here after they attended Bethel School for a year and they were both commission to flagging there and add so much more to our team. Yes, Nikol is who I order my flags from, I have four flags from her, three quills and a set of 8 foot streamers.

Swing flags are silk flags that have a weighted edge to help it move.It doesn't have a pole in it and travel really well because they can fold up in your back pocket.

Absolutely. I would prefer a sturdy rod but popular opinion seems to like the flexion rod which has a rod with about 20% flexibility. Over the past year, I've gotten used to flexion and now I think it has a terrific mix of sturdiness plus a little bit of "give" for quicker maneuvers.
