My husband was diagnosed with MDS-RS 4 months ago. He receives an injection every 2 weeks if his hemoglobin goes under 11 , it was exactly 11 so he skipped an injection, this week it was at 9.2 and his immature granucytes increased to .9% from 4 . He is 73 with COPD, The doctor dosent tell us much, I don't want to ask and upset my husband. Will he get shots from now on, is he getting worse, and Im so confused.

Is it normal to have 0.3% of immature granulocytes in blood? I read somewhere that it's normal to have it less than 1%, so I just wanted to confirm.

It also depends on the over all picture of the patient, what symptoms they are showing and the amount of blasts and promyelocytes present. Short answer is it is a possibility.
