In this short video we will show the different valve plates designs on 4, 6 and 8 cylinder compressors. By watching this video you will understand the basic differences of a original flapper valve reed plate verses the newer style Discus valve plates, as well as the differences between the Discus 1, 2 and 3 valve plates.

This info is so important. I wish I had found your KZbin channel a while ago. I have a 6DS1A4000-TSA-230 compressors and my parts distributor sent the discuss #1 style plate and reeds 2 times trying to get me the correct parts. I finally had to contact Emerson Climate Technologies and got the correct part numbers just to give them to the parts distributor that couldn't get it right the 1st time....
