The DIFFICULT Vinyl Tag 2025 😲😬 Let’s DO It!!!

This is a response to ‪@EmbryonicRobot‬ Brian's 'The Difficult Vinyl Tag"!!
How will we fare? Let's find out! Here are the 10 questions (Oooo..this is like a Pub Quiz!)
1. Show a CD longbox
2. Show a flexi disc
3. Record with a timing strip on the jacket
4. A live CD or LP where you were in the audience
5. Show a record that is not in Discogs (or one that you added)
6. 7” single 12” single of the same track or another combo (CD single + 7" etc.)
7. Show an album and all of the singles from that album either 7” or 12” or CD single formats
8. Show a record that was bundled with a CD
9. Show a box set on both CD and vinyl
10. A song that mentions your name (first, last, middle, or nickname)

I think I had to hunt the house for stuff more for this tag than any other 😆 Laurie Anderson has a fantastic discography- it’s all good but I started with Big Science just after it was released in ‘82….gah I’m old!! Cheers-R

That beer looks good! I love the dark ales. Cool flexi disk, I should have known you would have a Gary Numan flexi disk. Such an amazing bunch of Numan vinyl. I'm very envious of your Oceansize related stuff, I love Oceansize, have I said that before? But I lost track of their individual releases after they (unfortunately) broke up. Love the response!

Hi Mike-for a while I had no idea Mike Vennart did solo albums…they started popping up on Bandcamp and now he mostly uses his own website (vennart.com). Glad to got to see Oceansize on one of my UK trips in the 00s 😎 Cheers-R

Sorry about the first question, Richard, but I like your new question and the Laurie Anderson record. My Gary Numan 12" is lacking the flexi disc. Cool Bob Mould CD! I have to investigate a couple of bands you mentioned. Excellent video!

If I really like a band, and they release singles in with alternate b-sides, I would like buy them all to get the studio versions.

That was definitely true for me especially in the early 00s with all the UK acts I was discovering left and right 😬 Fortunately groups like Feeder and Biffy Clyro have released full albums of just their b-sides, which helps a lot! 👍 Cheers-R
