This programme starkly highlights how horrendous the conventional late night chat show format is and how tv in general infantilises us. At last, a grown up discussion for adults. Thank you so much. More please!

Grown up? If you think that two old has beens, who obviously have over inflated opinions of themselves, is classified as entertainment, I'd like to hear your definition of the word. They've both "grown up" financially under a Thatcher government that they both hated and have now aged into senility. Less please!

I newer liked the american way of doing it... U invite an increadibly interesting person and then only talk about their new movie and cut to the commertial... John Oliver didnt like that format and full focused on what he wanted to talk about, and thats why I like him. Conan O’Brien loves to interact with his guests and u can feel it, thats why I love him 2... Its like what they said... u eigher love your job or u half ass it and people feel it...

Fry is a nasty little champagne socialist and a loather of Thatcher. He should return to his high class "nursing home", paid for by the vast amounts of money he accumulated, thanks to the capitalistic society of which he abhores. Cleese is what he is. An average actor but a horrible man.....ask Connie Booth, Barbara Trentham and Alice Eichelberger. They'll tell you all about his "creative insight" that you obviously admire.

Re the internet, it started out as a great source for gathering information and finding answers to questions but now every search comes back with something that someone is trying to sell you a product or service or something. Most annoying, we need another non commercial internet.😢. Also why are you bleeping out words? Every swear word can emphasis the depth of feeling about a statement.

Really?! What talent might that be? That he is only mildly displeased when his name gets mispronounced? That he may or may not know what the word "endemic" means? That he is as mystified by the game of cricket as is most of the rest of the world? The glaring difference between the 2 discussions is almost painful - Fry and Cleese talk about ideas, Schaeffer and Doyle talk about themselves.
