Dear Listener, this recording has some copyrighted music in the video so YT plays ADS to collect revenue for the record company. I have no control over the ads that appear as it is all KZbin placing ads for the music companies as I used copyrighted material in this old recording. My channel is not monetized so I make no money from them or the ads that appear. I try not to use copyrighted music anymore. If you purchase a KZbin premium subscription you can avoid ads. I listened to this through my phone KZbin App, which is probably how a lot of others listen. Is there a way to listen Ad Free? I do not mind an Ad at the beginning but once the video starts it is useful for the remainder of the video to be Ad Free. Is it possible to repost a copy of this Video without background music and songs? Author’s voice is already enchanting to keep listeners' attention. No music or background songs necessary to receive instructions from Guru Sri Singha!

"There is no teaching like this in the world" may I never be separated from this teaching until all my obscurations, hopes and fears, desires are pacified and the primordial citadel of pure spacelike bliss emptiness awareness is reached, for the welfare of all sentient beings 🙏🙏🙏 During listening to this treasure beyond treasures I had a vision that I was a dog when listening first time to profound dharma teachings, like I saw at templesmonasteries and so on in Nepal especially around Asura cave. This made me aware of how beneficial it is to listen to teachings using normal speakers instead of headphones as we never know what beings from all kind of realms are listening and benefiting. Thank you also for pointing to Erik's text/translation Samaneri, your kindness is beyond measure 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️😇😇😇

You ask how can we know the infinite? I answer, not by reason... You can only apprehend the infinite by entering into a state in which you are finite self no longer. This is the liberation of your mind from finite consciousness. When you thus cease to be finite you become one with the infinite. You realize this union, this identity. - Plotinus

@SamaneriJayasara4 жыл бұрын
Ah, such a beautiful metaphor here for what the Great Master is pointing to! Essentially he is saying, that now there are now no traces left. He is free from any karmic propensities or creating or leaving karma behind. He is the "thus gone" - the Tathagatha - he is free from any scent or smell of ego or individuality. Thus he flies free like a bird in the sky, his mind unencumbered and free from any fabrications - his flight path just like the trace of a bird in the sky - he leaves nothing behind. Hope this helps to clarify.

Hi Parvati, everything is still up on my Google Drive. I have not removed anything from there so you can still find the 2 Garab Dorje recordings under Dzogchen - the book is called "The Golden Letters" - and every recording of Longchenpa's I've done is under his tab/link. If I have taken it down from YT it's because I intend to re-record it at some stage as I wasn't happy with the quality from months back. Cheers

What is the purpose of seeking Samadhi? Does Samadhi mean sameness? Is Samadhi being presented as being the highest goal and that everyone should seek it? 🤔
@margheritapagni4 жыл бұрын
In the Sutra, Samadhi is the state of peaceful and clear, undistracted awareness (often translated as concentration) which occurs when unwholesome states have been pacified; in this state, it is possible to gain insight (vipassana) into the sources of personal delusion and dukkha. The translation of Samadhi has been long debated, but sameness would not be a good translation--being gathered is closer to the meaning. Samadhi is described in the Sutra has having 4 general stages called jhanas, with varying degrees of happiness (sukkha), physical bliss (pitti), and equanimity. It is not Awakening, but it is an indispensable gate to Awakening. In Vajrayana is intended as a state characterized by Emptiness and/or Bliss. I recommend the Leigh Brasington's book Right Concentration (one of the 8 in the 8-fold Path, according to the Buddha) which is a practical guide by an expert teacher. It means of course to gain a strong foundation in Shamatha or Mindfulness.
@MoMagha4 жыл бұрын
Samadhi is a composite word consisting of two separate Sanskrit words Sama+Adhi. The word sama means equipoise and adhi means “ beginningless” or the original state. So your real nature is beginning less equipoise. You are right about the English word sameness which I suspect has its roots in the Sanskrit word sama which also means sameness when used colloquially. The original state which has always been, is obtained not by seeking it but by giving up all that is transient and not real. So it is what remains and what it has always been, one’s true state of being.

I'll let Padmasambhava answer this question for you! The Great Master said: "The samadhi of suchness is the vital point of all samadhis. Other samadhis change and do not last. The samadhi of suchness is dharmata, your true identity. It is the unmistaken, original nature as it is, the uncontrived, true identity. Simply to be this nature, the emptiness of the samadhi of suchness includes every other type of samadhi, without exception, as they are contained within this very state. Every possible type of dharma and every aspect of the awakened state, as countless as they may be, are, without exception, contained in the non-striving state of original emptiness, as it is. It is therefore known as having brought together all samadhis within a single vital point." Therefore, the samadhi of suchness is indeed the highest goal and the highest samadhi to settle into. Hope this helps clarify for you.
