I always get PTSD from worker rushes. Years ago after losing many games to cheese I decided to worker rush someone. Only my opponent was playing one of their first games. As I arrived at their base I noticed they were struggling with walling off and they said something along the lines of "Oh... I didn't know those guys could attack" I've lost many nights of sleep because of doing something so horrible.

My first ever multiplayer match, I got cannon rushed. "Why is he building pylons here? He must be an idiot" -> 2 minutes later, he had ~10 cannons and ~5 pylons. I don't remember what happened, but I know I didn't win :P

hahahahaha, I had a similar thing happen to me in warcraft III. I remember I was completely outmicroing my opponent with fiends while he was playing his first ever game. He kept getting more and more upset that i " Wouldn't stand still so he could hit me". In the end I won the game without losing a unit, but I felt pretty bad for a while about it hahaha

Even lesser known fact: the alternate hydra attack animation counts a melee and thus ignores guardian shield.

This is slightly more relevant for Roaches, which do the same thing - Hydras tend to lose vs anything that WANTS to melee them anyway, while Roaches are sort of okay fighting Zealots in melee under a Guardian shield.

Battery sentry seems just like a safe action for cheesy attacks. Baneling busts, drone rushes, zergling timing attack, roaches even (although that might not be possible in that amount of time with the opening zerg did)

I got a suggestion for the cheesiest man alive: TripleC - Cheese Counter Challenge Like in a supermarket, there are these beautiful counters with lots of different cheeses ... camembert, edamer, maasdamer, tilsiter ... basically everything the netherlands are about. - you name it. What i suggest in particular: You do games that resemble those cheese counters. Put as many different cheeses as possible into each single game. Blocking Expansions, Voidray Proxy, mothership recall, dark templar prism warpins, nexus battery in a blindspot in his main, forcefielding his ramp while pushing, The only rule: keep it vegetarian - no meat allowed (aka straight up usual pushes)

Interesting fact about the hydra and roach melee attacks: they aren't just different animations. They are separate weapons from the ranged attack, that have usage priority when within melee range. With the same damage and attack speed as the ranged attack of course. However the melee weapons do not benefit from the ranged attacks upgrade but rather the melee attacks upgrade.

Roach/hydra melee attacks benefit from ranged upgrades. Afaik the only difference between their ranged and melee attacks is the animation and the interaction with guardian shield (sentry ability).

I feel like a single *capital* G should still count as a full one on the gg counter. The capital makes up for the fact that there's only one. It's like your opponent saying, "I played like crap but you still deserved the win." Please correct this in the future Harstem or I'm going to have to speak to your manager.

One of the first important weapons for early humans were literally just rocks. When our ancestors left the safety of trees and started migrating on foot, the ability to accurately throw was a huge competitive advantage from an evolutionary perspective. Look at well even children are at throwing things. Watch a youth baseball game and you will see 12 year old kids throwing 100 kph (unit conversion for you) pitches. Now imagine a group of humans all doing that at some predator. Pretty effective.

Last game: One Spore Crawler per base is sufficient. Especially when the opponent has only Oracles. In addition, building a Spore Crawler makes you lose a drone, while with only one Spore Crawler per base no drone is threatened... 🙃

I like going - 14- OL-pool - EdroneE - drone. - (4) zerg - (queen) OL ` 16 drones, 8 zerglings 1 queen. * zerglings are just wide scout map, for proxies meet up at junction annoy base. POP 22/ OL comes out, larva comes up, and second hatchery goes down. Mining of gas has taken place, shoudl be 100/50/ Which lets you lair up. You cna go straight into Hydras/ and hydrlisks with zergling back ups... at this point you should be like 39 pop... and macro hatcheries... and queens galore. with evolution chambers... all around the 2:30 mark... I guess you could go early, but with the invention of queens I Liek getting them early. SO the standard build... your queen is late, you miss a larva... and get larva starved for minerals... imo... but.. you can get a larva and second larva... or tumour... but meh... Since the inception of queens and hte elongated time of the pool, it makes sense to get first it doesn't sloow you down, since hatchery is a production system, but... the larva spawns in 4/s and you can get it twice, and havea second hatchery... with the initial zerglings.. you can know what your opponenet is doing.. and decide to slow down and eco up on drones or hammer out whatever.. lol but meh.

last game wasn’t as imba as it seemed tbh... harstem sent almost all his workers to the opponent base and lost a lot of mining doing so while the opponent lost almost no workers and was mining in his main the whole time. he was able to the double expand with little risk because he had oracles. harstem was not that much ahead after the start.

@@loraxak On the highest end, it is one of the highest skill ceiling match ups. Stalker VS Stalker while constantly dodging Disruptor shots and the balls of someone blinking on your disruptors when they shoot. It is fascinating to watch. But nonetheless on the low level, anything seems cheesy. I don't get why people judge match ups of silver players when most of them don't even know hotkeys exist. You can't come to conclusions with such standards.
