Had a good discussion with the community in my stream about this play and I realize there's a bit of a divide whether or not this play is an exploit or legit. The idea popped in my head so I tried it and it worked, I'd never exploit intentionally, although I honestly don't consider this is an exploit. Had I impacted the wall and disabled it through that I'm sure nobody would bat an eye, however the hole is much smaller so it's a bit more questionable. A lot of gray area here so let me know what you think, I'm curious where you all stand on this.

Macie Jay IMO a hole should at least be big enough to crawl through in order to do this. Considering how many BS plant spots are in the game, it's only fair defenders get a bit of cheese in return.

Exploit or not if you don't know at the time then you did nothing wrong. If it's a known exploit then it's different story.

I mean.... it's still a legit mechanic that's in the game? could provoke thoughts about it getting patched but so far i don't see any reason to complain

I don't really think that this should be considered an exploit. It's like long arming a defuse behind a wall, or putting a claymore facing a drone hole.

Idk about everyone but the idea of longarming itself is pretty much an exploit for me. No matter how big the opening you make, one melee-sized hole or one from an impact, destroying the defuser only works because you can longarm it.

I did this trick in a ranked match on Kafe Dostoyevsky. It was a 1v3 and I was Echo. Sledge got a plant while I was moving my drone. I shot the wall a bunch with my MP5SD. Then the rest is self-explanatory. Thanks Macie Jay!
