The Dirty Reiver 2022 - 200km of Gravel Heaven!

My second time doing the Dirty Reiver and what a blast it was!
I hadn't trained as much this time so my goal was to enjoy the day and not worry about the time.
The first 100km I rode with good old Dave and Jon, but at the split the guys decided they'd had enough.
I fought on in a relentless headwind which doesn't come across on camera as I have deadcat wind mufflers on my GoPro but it was savage!
Keilder Forest is probably the best place in the UK for a huge uninterrupted gravel adventure and we were super lucky to get great weather, great views and finish with some golden light by Keilder water.
I highly recommend the event!

this is a bucket list ride for me but i keep backing out of signing up for it, i know i could manage the 130, very very doubtful about the 200, congrats on getting around there.

It is all about mentally saying you can and eating a tonne of food. I hadn't ridden over 60 miles in well over a year before riding double that.

Good work. May I ask if that was a Schwalbe tyre you were on? If so, can you tell me the type, width and the pressures you were running please? Cheers.

Yes a shwalbe G-one. Can't remember what pressures but I ran them fairly hard as it was a long day and wanted to avoid any mechanicals
