With the kettle Aaron i installed an osmosis system. filter out just about all the crap.set me back close to 600 but works a treat

Its a shame how bad it is in all the local rivers of sydney. south creek off richmond road stinks badly, only there a few weeks ago. not one bite or signs of any bass

Sydney waters over fished,populated,government need to appoint some1 like this guy release, more hatchlings in to our water ways for sustained fishing into the future list goes on.

They've been working on allowing/managing fishing at Prospect reservoir for a decade.. they're finally at the pointy end and meant to provide an update to us mid to late 2024.. about solutions. Its crazy to me, since it's already done in other states.

@bonestomp prospect reservoir would be just the tip of the ice berg so to speak There's pipes running with stuff coming out in Georges river,cooks river iv seen while fishing near by public swimming pool with a direct pipe to the river so ween thay hose down the ground it runs into the drain an out in river makes me wonder how many pipes there around like that

@@James-ds7ug Im not quite following. For example in QLD, you pay your monthly fishing license to fish rivers and ocean etc.. but there are numerous lakes (including drinking water lakes) where you get a permit to fish there.. the permit pays for maintenance and restocking of that lake. So they are looking at doing something like that for Prospect lake, which would add another option for people and spread the load/impact of fisherman on the environment. I just finished watching the video, I have to admit I'm a little confused.. it seems to be entirely mismanaged.. no plan, no idea.. get some goats in there and strip it down to the ground, pull out the rubbish and maintain in.. people will then use it and come to visit and spend money there.. that's just the council sitting on a gold mine and complaining that they have to wash the dirt to get gold, so do nothing. yikes.. that's woeful.

@@bonestomp ok he often talks about pollution in an around Sydney fresh,an salt water Iv seen it in all river systems in Sydney an the government as always needs to do better

@@James-ds7ug Its why channels like this are important, so we can all learn. I think most of us just assume its all fine, aside from Parra river which has been dirty for yonks. I subscribed to another fisherman YT channel based purely on the fact he cleans up other anglers mess. Anglers just leaving snagged/cut lines everywhere, empty pilchard packets and plastic bags etc, destroying the environment they are enjoying.... this bloke just comes along, picks up their garbage and has a fish, then racks off... if everyone took the tiniest bit of pride and care, like these blokes do.. everyone would be better off.

Aaron for Mayor 2025 👍 My mate found out the hard way about bullrout, in that exact spot... Did you hear we will be drinking our own recycled toilet water soon? You had it right the other day when you said, you are ready to move away, it's sad but I don't think much will change, well it will get worse we know that much...

All our time Rivers and creeks are in shambles, mate. The Parra has recovered since the fish kill, but it still has a long way to go, say a few thousand years.

water tanks store water and gravity feed water, tanks don,t make water. My tap water comes from the river then through a treatment plant, stored and then fed to my taps.

I think back in the 80s and 90s there was a massive problem with gill nets drop or set lines and ghost traps with a large amount of harvesting fish for food, we don,t have that pressure on the river now.

Saw some tipper and dog trucks today with south creek sector in little signs on the back. I havent checked Azza, but I wonder if every bridge widening on the M7 is flushing silt into the creeks and rivers as well.

Edit: the trucks had upper south creek on them, and most of the creeks on the M7 run back towards the Nepean.

Where you reckon the pollution is coming from? Cant see any houses or discharge pipes. etc What's the EPA doing about this? Any enviro test lab can do spot field water analysis.
