The disadvantages of north cyrpus are lack of mcdonalds, buying garbage on amazon and it's warm in the summer? Could you please try harder to find real problems to talk about. I have full 4.5G internet here, you can order everything from turkey and istanbul is 2 hours away on a $100 flight. I wish i got the 10 mins of my life back

Well she was probably being nice.. She could of said: 1. The horrific conditions of the driving with constant traffic accident deaths at least 2 a week. 2. The corruption of the government entities that change rules constantly. How you are bilked hundreds of dollars for things like the “driving licenses” or the changing of the taxing on the purchase of new properties? 3. The poor construction standards and the pitiful way properties are handled. 4. Oh lest we forget the Power Station. The black soot pouring out of the power station, the barge of diesel that comes over from Turkey, the fact that you never know when you’ll have power cause it’s goes off on a daily basis??? 5. The fact that no matter the cafe, restaurant, etc., you are gonna get the same foods, same cocktails, same boring set up.. 6. There will s 4.5 Internet but it’s all off of cell tower bouncing. There is not a structured broadband Internet.. why would any business person want to operate there. 7. Everyone using WhatsApp. 8. The deplorable way they treat animals with farmers poisoning stray dogs and cats.. how they are left to fend for themselves in the streets 9. The fact that it is ILLEGAL to say ONE thing that is not in support of anything regarding this island. You can’t say a thing about poor service, a bad business, without being threatened or actually arrested by the police. 10. The “constant” events where the expats gather to schlep their old garbage at sales, and drink in the name of “charity” This island is good for a cheap vacation, but to live there, it’s awful. The place is a mash between the shitty British expats and the poor Cypriots who have to live with there bull shit.

Also you can end up in prison if you try to sell stolen Greek properties. Two developers are in prison and new indictments are being prepared for others. What good does it do to own cheap property in North Cyprus if you cannot travel to EU countries due to Interpol red alerts?

As an American, I'm very, very confused. Maybe "disadvantage" means something different in Cyprus. All the things you discussed sound like Positive Reasons to move to Cyprus...The People are Friendly (that's a Bad thing?), The Weather is Wonderful (Huh?), No McDonalds and I will be "forced" to eat fresh and tasty food. I think you have convinced me that I need to get a plane ticket to Cyprus. How do you say thank you??

Having lived in North Cyprus for two years as an American, I can say it was a challenging experience, and not always in a good way. There are some serious issues that really affect daily life, and I wish someone had given me a clear picture before I made the move. I’ll be sharing the pros and cons in more detail in an upcoming KZbin video, but here’s a quick summary. One of the biggest frustrations is the lack of consistent access to essentials: water, electricity, and reliable internet. Outages are frequent, and the quality is a far cry from what you’d expect in the U.S. Dealing with immigration is another story entirely-think of it as a comedy of errors where nothing goes as planned. If I had enough patience, I could write an entire (humorous) book on those adventures alone. Real estate is another eye-opener. When you buy something, it’s more like a time-share than real ownership because reselling is nearly impossible, so it’s yours for as long as you’re there, but with limited flexibility. And if you love to shop or unwind at a mall, you’ll be disappointed. Rules and regulations feel almost non-existent or change without notice, making you truly appreciate the stability and order back in the States. North Cyprus does have some beauty and charm, but overall, if you’re considering moving here, make sure you’re prepared for these challenges. It’s not for everyone, and you might find yourself feeling disappointed.

I have moved here to North Cyprus to study, as do many students on the island. This is because the acceptance rate is high and the tuition is not that expensive. However, I regret coming here and I wish the borders were open. My passport is already the worst in the world, let alone being stuck on a part of an island that limits your travel. I cannot apply for any visas anymore. I can't go to turkey. I can't do anything but wait and hope some stuff work in my favor. I am trying my hardest to get out of here as I regret coming in the first place. If you do plan on coming to Cyprus whether it is to north or south, always go through the South, the right way.

@@marie-joelleraussou no actually. Eventhough some people do think that is the case by entering to North Cyprus. I came here to study and was one of the few places that were affordable and required no student visas. I continued living here because there is no better country to leave to in my case. In other people's cases usually they go back to their countries after that study period. Needless to say, I'm still trying to leave and still trying to find work in the EU. I don't consider my self in the EU whatsoever and never thought so by coming here.

Why you dont advice the people who your trying to sell your properties that the properties or land you may try to sell are in the occupying island of Cyprus by the Turkish army and this land or properties they belong to Greek Cypriots on the land registry of the republic of Cyprus and not to any one else! The occupying territories are not recognize by any Country except Turkey, Let me give you a simple example,like now a Russia property agent is trying to sell to any European client property in Crimea or Donbas region !!
@CYPRUS_LIFE_ESTATE
@CYPRUS_LIFE_ESTATE Жыл бұрын
You are wrong, Northern Cyprus cannot be compared to Russian aggression. Northern Cyprus has been a separate state for almost 50 years. And in the near future the UN will consider the issue of its recognition. And most importantly, all the real estate we sell has a land title. This means that the land before secession either belonged to a Turkish Cypriot or was exchanged with a Greek Cypriot for land on the southern part of the island. These documents are recognized by the international court.
@MrKaralis1
@MrKaralis1 Жыл бұрын
Northern Cyprus is not a separate state, is an occupying area of the republic of Cyprus by the Turkish army, the only recognize state by the UN, the international community and European Union is the republic of Cyprus, the real estate you sell in order to be legal should be under the registry of the official land registry of the Republic of Cyprus and not any other entity, if the owner ship from a Greek Cypriot already passed to a new owner should be registered again with the land registry of the ROC. NC is exactly the same case like the Russian invasion of Crimea and the other occupying territories of Ukraine, to protect the Russian speaking population, that's the exact same excuse the Turks give when the invaded Cyprus 1974 to safeguard the Turkish speaking population!! Is exactly the same case even 49 years ago!! same excuses by the same actors, the point is that 1974 was not internet and mobile phone or media for the world to see what really happen in Cyprus !!Even worst what happen in Ukraine !!
