I actually think everyone is missing the main point! EA release players, then re-release plays a few weeks later at higher ratings with special/feature cards, but the main point being you’re in the lap of the RNG gods. Want a player? Pay money to get a 0.004% chance at having it! You want a player in ufl they’re right in front of your face! Go out and earn them. Every player on ufl has dynamic ratings that improve the more you play, so instead of falling behind the power curve because your cards aren’t Halloween events, Christmas winter events, team of the year, team of the season….etc. you actually move with the power curve. People wanna complain about ufl??? Come back to me when it says pay £50 for “a chance” to get the player they want!! I personally have only spent money on cosmetics in ufl, but for those who buy their team I say good on ‘em!! We’re all supporting a game that is FREE to play!!! Whether you just buy kits/boots/stadiums & the team pass or you actually buy your team the biggest takeaway is you don’t spend 15 minutes agonising over whether to spend the money or not only to have buyers remorse 15 seconds later when EA serves you up a pile of garbage that doesn’t come close to resembling what you were hoping to get. UFL is an ongoing game and ppl are crying because they haven’t got mbappi, messi & co. After 2 weeks?! Or that they haven’t and others have, well the others have chosen to spend their money, there’s still plenty of us to compete against each other that haven’t. The game is free, better to play than anything else on the market and is clear on its price pointing and what you get for that price…..and oh yeah, it FREE!!! We complain for years about how predatory EA are, how poor their product is and then as soon as we get a developer that actually listens to their community, releases a much better game and charges transparent price for tangible goods and that’s not good enough either??!! UFL isn’t perfect but has had updates already after two weeks of fan feedback, EA aren’t even bothered when their game is fundamentally broken and unplayable as long as the players are buying packs! We should all be thanking Strikerz Inc for saving us from having to play FC or the alternative which is a glorified mobile game on console in e-football.

Bro I wish I could tell you how much spent on fifa each year 🫣 and ended up with not having fun at all when it comes to the gameplay it’s rubbish, I started ufl yesterday bought season pass only and bought a striker with the cp left and was so happy with the gameplay I litterly enjoyed from kick off to final whistle, I can happily enjoy the game without spending anything on it.

Honestly both of them are pay to win in their own ways. Sweaty players will always worsen the experience in every game. But I’ve enjoyed the gameplay of UFL over FC, which is what matters most, to actually enjoy playing the game. It’s not the best and has some stuff to polish but it just came out and has potential to get better. To me it kinda feels like the gameplay of FIFA 17,18,19. There can be some handicap in games but nothing like the scripting or sabotaging of your players like in the latest FIFA’s

I stopped UFL, FC already more than a year ago. I do not want to play thousands of games just with the hope that my bad players I have could get better. Waste of time. I played already a lot of UFL games, and then I encountered new players with zero games having much players than me.

Played 20 games of UFL First 17 great experience, enjoyable no stressing no wanting to throw my controller every 2 seconds Then the last 3 games it all changed I was only in silver 2 bear in mind I met 3 pay to win scumbags on the trot, one of which had 0 players under 70 and 81 richarlison up front Safe to say the games been deleted as its clearly not FAIR TO PLAY as advertised I'll stick to doing career mode on 23 least I'm enjoying myself

You probably played more towards the start of the game when a team like yours was meta. It's not as much about how many games you've played but also when you played those games. For example someone who starts a new account during tots and plays 100 games will have a significantly better team than yours currently is.

But they can make it more interesting as adding different modes as cap amount of x rated players in a certain week or even nations etc, so as people can still use different players no matter the rating.

Ironically I think that is the problem in itself! If the main hook for you to get on and play the game is chasing the next feature card because it supersedes the one you already have instead of actually playing a game because it’s a good fun experience then we really have been conditioned by EA, especially when their game is often painful to play, and at other times is just down right broken, but you have to play it anyway to continually chase the next promo event. I actually got the team I wanted on fc 24 in September as I’m sure we all did when the market went right down and EA threw 97-99 rated players at us, but you get to play with that team for about two weeks and then the game is obsolete with the release of 25. I’d sooner build my team that I could you throughout the life span of an ongoing game and have to play to maintain my RP cap than spend all year chasing a Mia Hamm card only for it to not even to be the best version as soon as you actually get it after months of grinding!

People who bought early access for UFL have a huge advantage, EA FC is paid to win at a high level but at a standard casual level it isn't and most people just want to play afew games every now and gain

The game has changed from early access, especially how much you earn, so unless you restarted the game on release day with a new team this is basically a false information video

EA won't ever look to improve this game as there will always be people who will feed them their money through softcore gambling; putting points on. The sooner people stop putting money onto the game in ridiculous amounts, the quicker you'd see this whole system change. Think back at the old days of fifa 13/14/15 etc where people used bronze and silver squads and still cooked. This is the first game in the series where I see pros not consistently hitting 15-0s now which is a massive sign that the whole shift of pay to win has well and truly taken over. I think EA would really start pouring effort and love back in the game if people started growing some braincells and not opening their wallets aside from buying the game in the first place. They'd have to make a really high quality game to sell millions of copies!

I got 15-0 for the first 5 weekends of this game cycle. Got absolutely nothing worth coins, and my icons were: Pichon, Shearer, Kluivert twice and RVP. Haven’t played the game since, it’s sickeningly pay to win

Been enjoying UFL but can already feel it dropping off massively , at one point it taking me 10-15 secs to find a game now it takes upto a minute , also I’m getting matched with higher divisions than the one I’m in a lot , both pay to win , ones horrible to play the other feels like it’s dying after a few weeks

If you are not going to spend some money on coins or grind menus 24/7 your best bet is to buy the game in NOV/DEC when its 50+% off (or buy via 3rd party seller on discount) and spend the difference on coins or do some basic trading. U won’t have the best team but you will at least be competitive and save yourself some time as well as money.

So glad there is another game out there now. EA now has to look over its shoulder. Like PES in 2008 and 2009 it can only be a good thing. UFL has some great features like the customised skills, leveling lower rated players, the skin system is interesting. Free to play means that if you dont like it then you can uninstall and play something else. Bye bye EA and FC, wont get a penny off me ever again!

It's weird because it easy to rank a low rated player 60/70 out to 90 than it is to buy a rated 80 plus to rank 90 is alot more xp . My fofana is 89 and has went higher than isak baring in ming fofana was 80 when I bought isak .now isak is only 87 .and took about 100 games to get there . There are huge potential to upgrade lower rated players into beasts baring in mind the skill appoint can be applied to anything you want to make that's player .I would buy the premium pass also you do get alot of great rewards such huge XP/CP/RP for games so the grind isn't as bad if you play regularly. But if casual the daily challenges will be enough if you play a few games a day etc

I think Jamboo is missing a big point here. FC is a shit show but this opinion will sort of "defend" FC in some way: In FC, if you grind enough, it is very easy to have a good enough team to compete. I never spent a single FP this year and hit 3 15-0. Sure I am a good player but my team was not that good with very affordable players, and in WL half the teams were better than mine. I like this system of having advantage for p2w but skill issue will still dominate. Not that the "skill gap" in FC is good but... After a week of experience in UFL, having played E-football few years ago, I find the two games very similar in a way that you CANNOT compete with a relatively shitty team. A -3 or -4 rating compare to your opponent across the pitch will give you an atrocious experience. All passes going off target, shooting sucks, positioning awful. The menu and power curve system is not p2w, but the inherent gameplay design is. In FC I can ALWAYS give a shot every game, regardless of them having 50m team. But in UFL I surrender when I see a much better team, there's no skill gap but money gap. I don't know if you feel the same but that's my two cents.

@@JambooFC You could do that in Early Access but not now. With all the bonuses applied you get 1.2m CP per game - 240k CP for energy. So you're making 960k CP per match. To Buy Haaland and Co costs 250m CP, That's just over 260 matches. Now if we take the daily rewards around 2m per day it would still take around 3 weeks to buy 1x 91 rated player. In regards to grinding players rating up, in Early Access you had double the XP than what we get now. Be honest about what players can do who join now, not what could have been done before.
