I just ate breakfast...BUT...I am so hungry for that burrito..It's a long flight from where I am and then a long drive..My stomach will be ready by time I get there..YUM! .Great story.

When the stars align miracles happen. Not too many years ago, when The Potato operated out of a 'food van' things would have looked a bit different, but just as tasty. Today The Potato is the mortar that helps hold McCarthy together.

Drove the Alcan Hwy in 1972. Road was pretty rough then. Remember eating at some eatery with all homemade wooden furniture near Palmer.

I grew up 5th grade to 10th grade, Juneau, Ketchikan, Fairbanks, Kodiak and Anchorage-Alaska is a Different Life style-You have to be accepting and like of the outdoors, Extreme conditions, Wildlife, Fresh Fish; The BEAUTY, Levi's, Hiking Boots, Pendleton Sweaters, T-Shirts, Helly Henson winter Coats; Rosy Cheeks; There's no such thing as Stilettos, or Barely Motorcycles, it's a place of the fittest which respect the Territory for what it is, A Beautiful Force of a WoRLD in another WORLD🙏❤️💪🇺🇲 AK Finest. Alaska catches wild fish, but they send it elsewhere. Local fish would be very expensive, unlike french fry chorizo burritos

Part of it I bet. Is there using peanut oil which a lot of places no longer use because of so many people with peanut allergies? That's what ruined the McDonald's french fries. The oil was changed. Several places have changed their oil and that has changed their french fries flavor

I thought the reason mcd French fries taste different is because they switched from beef tallow to vegetable oil.

@@pineapplesauce7499 it depends on where they were stationed several different places used beef tallow and other meat-based oils for things but a lot of places also used peanut oil for a long time. So when they changed oils they also changed a lot of things that made the food taste that much better

@@poolhall9632 I hated home economics. I wanted to take shop class. Our group had to make a complete meal. We each did a different part of the meal. I chose to make pie. Never made one before and I sure wasn't going to be shown at not doing it right. Not sure how many i made before i had to do it for class. Turned out very good. I still love making a good crust. The rest of the class i dont remember and wasnt much use. I didnt learn to really cook until i had a child and had to cook to keep him alive. Lol
