Since entering the NBA as the No. 1 overall pick in 2011, Kyrie Irving has emerged as one of the league's most dazzling talents. But he's also become one of the sporting world's most polarizing stars. So how did this Australian-born kid become such an entertaining enigma?

Just A Face Cant blame the media. He’s the one didn’t wanna play w/LBJ. He was happy in Boston & claimed he wanted an extension til he saw they were a better more cohesive unit with Rozier & rookie Tatum so he refused to show up & support them for game 7 vs LeBrom. Mad they didn’t need him he left (again) for a competitive playoff team, the Nets. They sucked with him always showing off his dribble. He complains the roster has glaring holes when he was brought in to elevate them. Gets hurt (again) & they get better. Look at his interview after leaving CLE. He carries himself like a b***h & thinks he’s a #1 option on a contender but when he was his team got the #1 pick yearly. That’s on Kyrie. He’s a poor leader.

Honestly I think kyrie is an incredibly good person I think that the media has everything to do with him changing as a person and player on the court the false narrative is why people hate him they'll believe anything about the guy when kyrie got traded to Boston I was worried for him that Boston will try to destroy this man career the fake love they were about to give him I think that Cleveland loved him and will always love him yes I know that some fans were upset with him leaving but kyrie wanted to get away from what could possibly make him into a joke if lebron left that year when kyrie declared a trade think about all hate he would've gotten for it that people would say he was the problem in Cleveland which he wasn't as kyrie and Brooklyn fan I love the fact that kyrie came home to get away from what Boston was trying to turn him into

What was Boston tryna turn him into n how did they show fake love? Every other star that played for Boston has had nothing but love for the city n the fans during n after their tenure there, not tryna shit on Kyrie but he just plain didn't wanna be there Boston wanted to put the pieces around him that he preferred to have but with no commitment from him they gave up n decided to build for the future without him
@GunninRebel55
@GunninRebel55 3 жыл бұрын
dtobon6 Agreed. He wanted to lead a team and Boston gave him the keys. All they did to him was show how good they were without him when he got hurt and they got a chance to play a team game. That’s what he didn’t like.
@kingsvibe2135
@kingsvibe2135 3 жыл бұрын
dtobon6 what I met by fake love was that when players come to Boston they'll bring them in with open arm and try to treat them like family when kyrie first came to Boston in his first season alot people seem to forget about that season during that time he was actually showing people that he can lead a group of young guys but also that season the Celtics lost Hayward then kyrie *didn't get injured* he had an infection in his knee which requires surgery which also put him out for the playoffs that year and during that playoffs year the young were playing well *without having him and Hayward*but the media wrote up just him. During the 2018-19 season after every thing that Celtics fans thought they would have after losing to the bucks everyone starts attacking kyrie blaming him calling him a team locker room cancer which he wasn't the main problem and that's why he left the media destroy his relationship with the Celtics and Celtics fans but since moving to Brooklyn he on bigger and better things if the Celtics lose to the raptors you'll see what I mean they say they love kemba but when you lose they don't appreciate you for trying to win

I believe that this was a mostly fair assessment of the pros and cons of Kyrie Irving. As a Nets, I maybe biased to say that I think context is key, especially with his departure from Boston. The big shift from his preseason comments to his free agency was his grandfather's passing. Everything changed for him, and he desired closeness to family. Fortunately, that worked out in my team's favor! Go Brooklyn!

Kyrie's a talented athlete, not gonna argue about that. He may not be the best guys out there, that's some price to be paid if you're gonna have him on your team. If anyone gonna call him a disruptor, at least mention how his decision to leave Cleaveland alter Isaiah Thomas' career. I hate it to admit it, but I kinda blame Kyrie for Isaiah Thomas' fall from grace. If he didn't go to Boston, Isaiah could have been still balling right now and not have to sign for minimum those years ago and not being waived just recently. Deep down, I wanted Kyrie to know that his desire to be the leader in his own team caused one man's livelihood to be disrupted, and he will never be able to atone it after leaving Celtic
@anishsattaram3793

isaiah's downfall was on the organization and himself. they played him through injuries and he continued to play through injuries. you have to remember that it's a business, danny ainge and anyone in 2017 would've picked kyrie over isaiah thomas.
