Hey there. Just a wild Gale here to theorise over Lost River. It’s apparent that the people evacuated due to the river. This has become clear both in Classic and now Anniversary Edition. My theory is: The LR council was going to dig a dam in the river. Half of the citizens were opposed to this, and the other half were for ‘the ditch.’ This was a conflict between the people- distrust between neighbours, family, friends, all the people you thought you could trust. All split apart. I think during the building of the dam, or ‘the ditch,’ something went wrong. The water pressure from the dam started to burst holes in the wall. The mayor told everyone to evacuate. The dam burst as the last of the people were leaving. The only safe spaces were on high ground- all the urban areas in the valley were drowned. In Classic edition, we see an empty, vast concrete canal- clearly made for water to be in. Yet it’s not. I’m sure this could be ‘the ditch’ they were talking about. This is likely the most probable theory. I’ve devoted weeks of my life playing Classic edition, and now I hope to move onto AE Lost River. We will uncover the secrets.
