This is a hilarious take on how congress works. It’s more accurate than people can imagine. Getting elected on name recognition only happens more often than you think. Great reaction!👍🏾

That movie is FULL of truth. Watch out when the focus is money and keeping it in the same hands.

"Terry, tell me something. With all this money coming in from both sides, how does anything ever get done?" "It doesn't. That's the genius of the system." Fun Fact: Theatrical movie debut of Chi McBride. The Studio System Fact: First film Eddie Murphy starred in which was not produced by movie studio Paramount Pictures. Committee Man Fact: The name of the House of Representatives committee that Senator Dick Dodge (Lane Smith) was chairman of The Power And Industry Committee, which is a fictional committee. Filmmaker Pedigree Fact: This political comedy film is directed by Jonathan Lynn, who previously had great success as a co-creator and co-writer of the British political comedy series Yes Minister (1980), and its' sequel, Yes, Prime Minister (1986). The movie's screenplay was written by Marty Kaplan who was a past speech-writer for Democrat 1984 Presidential Candidate Walter Mondale. He was married to political advocate, operative, pundit, and commentator Susan Estrich. The Rest Of The Story Fact: Grant Shaud was initially hesitant to accept his role of Arthur because his most famous role at the time that of producer Miles Silverburg on Murphy Brown (1988) was the total opposite of a sincere, honest intelligent and neurotic man. He felt playing a dishonest and corrupt character in this movie would tarnish his image with audiences who saw him play the opposite as Silverburg on television. He almost turned the role down but his Murphy Brown co-star and acting mentor Candice Bergen advised him to take the part because of Eddie Murphy's star power and because Jonathan Lynn was directing who had success earlier in the year with My Cousin Vinny (1992). She felt too much talent was working on the movie for Shaud to pass up the role so he accepted it on her advice.

So glad someone finally gave this a reaction. I’ve recommended it many times. It came out during a tough time of Eddie releases, but it aged great.

Okay I'm new to this channel I officially love you. Thank you for reacting to this video I don't think anyone else has yet. A lot of channels annoy me because they literally react to the same things everyone else is reacting to. It's cool to see y'all do some different movies. Another great one you should do that's not commonly reacted to is Captain ron.

Back when his movies were still edgy funny. This and Boomerang were the last of those. Sure, the Nutty Prof ones, Dr. Doolittle, and Daddy Day Care were fun, but...
