So the funniest thing I've heard about the kuchisake onna was that if she approaches you and asks her questions, you just need to say you're busy or running late, and she'll leave you alone.

Actually, the truth is, it was the officer who was armed at the time of their deaths. But since Kuchisake Onna is an entity rather than a human, the officer's attempt to kill the woman fails miserably and died alongside Keiko, which explains the gunfire and the sudden cut in the background.

Fun little fact: Amongst her many, many media appearances, there was also a version of Kuchisake-onna in the series, Constantine (episode 5, to be exact) and it showed the "confuse the fuck outta her with questions" method in that, as that's how she was distracted long enough for Constantine and his allies to perform the spell needed to put her to rest.

Oh I like this. It feels like so much analog horror just shamelessly cribs from Local 58 and Mandela Catalogue. Glad to see StylizedKitsune is at least showing us something different.

The red room curse on screen at 10:10 says "red sword" not "red room". Not sure if that was intentional. Also, the japanese sentence *ends* with the "do you like?" part, just because of how the language's grammar is and the verb is always at the end. So unless the voice is reading it out of order it's kind of confusing haha

Something that i'm surprised it isn't mentioned in the analysis of the Tomino No Jigoku painting that makes it even more disturbing.. Notice the elongated neck ? It's not just for disturbment's sake. Look at how the woman's feet look. They are dangling. The implication is clear on suicidal ideation, and it's a very sad painting considering the background, I hope the artist is better now.

9:37 as a csa victim I hope she’s doing alright! That’s genuinely awful why would you treat a victim like they’ve lost something/are undesirable because of something that happened to them out of their control. I hope she’s made good money off of her work it’s unsettling and I love it, the story behind the pieces also gives some social commentary. Unfortunately my assaulter didn’t get on much trouble when they tried him because he was also a minor Cw: I give a few details to explain why even though he was a minor it was still Sa (though significantly older then me I was 4 he was 12 and he ended up doing much worse things to his sister, I thought it was normal for years after even though it made me feel really gross and icky. It wasn’t until I was 12 that I was like ‘yeah that’s not something that can just be brushed off that significantly effected me growing up’ I’m doing a lot better now luckily but I did have several mental heath spirals over the years because of the lasting trauma and thinking there was something wrong with me. It still does effect me unfortunately especially when I’m alone in rooms with men even if ik they wouldn’t do something like that it doesn’t stop the paranoia. Sucks that I am to busy and broke for therapy lmao at least I’m a lesbian so this doesn’t effect my dating life.) ❤ I hope all my fellow victims are doing ok! 🫂 remember you aren’t alone! 12:18 also I desperately hope This didn’t end up demonizing autistic people autism speaks is already bad enough. Also btw if anyone want to know Asperger’s isn’t a valid diagnosis anymore it was found to be and inaccurate way of describing how autism effects people, we now use a different spectrum a circular one to describe support needs and things we struggle with since autism is super broad. Autism doesn’t make us unfeeling, inhuman, or robotic we’re literally just disabled. Also autistic people don’t want cures we just want to be accepted and treated like human beings a lot of conversation around autism especially in the medical field doesn’t not include autistic people in the conversation. I’m not ‘struggling with autism’ I’m just an autistic person, it’s better to think of it as simply a different neurotype, autistic people communicate better with each other than with allistic (non autistic) people and vice versa if the world was made for autistics allistic people would struggle and be the outliers! Oh yeah also Hans Asperger was a N*zi (censored because KZbin) he never officially joined the party but he was a part of several of their organizations and participated in eugenics campaigns he intentionally sent autistic children to hospitals where they would be ‘euthanized because they were a burden to their parents’ so yeah I wouldn’t want my disability to be named after him anyways he’s actually awful glad it wasn’t a valid diagnosis after all. I read up on it for a school presentation one time the method they used was really vile aswell. A lot of the time nobody talks about it because of the much more massive scale of the Holocaust which like yeah there’s no problem with that like both are absolutely terrible and overlap I just think it’s important to acknowledge the holocaust wasn’t their only eugenics campaign. This and things like autistic people being forced to live in care homes away from their family after being labeled with the rslur even though it’s no longer a valid diagnosis (they still are in France which sucks) and forced sterilization of neurodivergent people and other awful things that happened to mentally disabled people throughout history especially after the Industrial Revolution is why the r slur is considered a slur. I hope this was informative! I’m studying graphic design and psychology for my majors in college though I do really like history and after I get my graphic design associates I’m thinking about starting an ecology bachelors. (I start college in less than a week but I graduated highschool with 7 college credits)
