Neil Hannon is one of the most underrated artists ever, an underrated intellectual who never got the credit he deserves.

I absolutely Love Hannon's Music and some of his Covers but, This one falls short for me. I Think he really could do better. hahaha! Of Course, being male and singing from the perspective of "Cathy" I suppose needs the Mockery Tone in his voice. I LOVE KATE BUSH!!! Back in the day She was Also a Hot lil' Firecracker!!

With all the weird elements (animal noises, interesting instrumental company...) I still find this songinterpretation kind of touching 😅. His trembling voice with some high vocals, his powerful voice in the beginning and that shouting at the end; I can remember that shitty feeling from the book: Can't you just get together you two idiots? No, it ends in tragic...Well, I don't remember it clearly, but I thought that all the angst was for nothing, I was disappointed. And this song with all its ridiculously, weirdness and so forth captures my feelings about this book pretty good...or I am biased and just like Neil Hannon too much 😂. Anyway, thanks to share this song with us 😊.

I wonder if I am the only one wanting to sing together with him when listening to the song? It sounds like a lot of fun, though a bit morbid, I guess? Sadly, it is quarter past ten and I do not want to horrify my neighbours 😩.
