I met & had a conversation with Mr. Gillespie at Blues Alley in D.C. in '86 probably '87, one of my all time lifetime memories. At the time I saw something mournful in his eyes, same time he was so pleasant and reaching out to a fan. Never figured out the look in his eyes or his affect until later; I think he know cancer would take him. RIP Diz and please to Bird, Monk, Bud Powell, Max Roach, Charles Mingus. Signed a Diz fan since age 3 yrs. old.

I am 80 and have had some serious problems recently including being (unsuccessfully) scammed by fraudsters. This is such a wonderful way for me to relax and chill out. Can 't explain why I find jazz so appealing but have loved it most of my life and am slowly interesting my 18 year old grandson in this music. Thank you so much for this. I really could listen all day. Jazz FM is my first radio choice. Roll on anticipated BBC Jazz channel.

Music gets no better, and I was fortunate enough to meet and talk with Mr. Gillespie in 1986, maybe '87 in Georgetown's Blues Alley in D.C.; One of the greatest few minutes in my life, Yes, I'm here again in memory of Diz. I was a Diz fan before I started kindergarten in '62 or 3.

I think the fact that they play so softly, especially for that speed, makes this thing so groovy. It feels more lose and makes you whip like there is no tomorrow. Vulfpeck does this, too.
