I’ve had my mavic air for a year, lol, I just accidentally pushed that button picking it up a few moments ago and wondered what it did, lol, congrats! When I youtube searched it your video was the number one choice that came up. I’m already subbed though. Good info for those of us who are allergic to instructions of any kind, thanks!

When one flies the drone, do you concentrate on the video screen or the map screen? Seems that one can monitor the flight better with the map screen and monitor the yaw or horizontal movements. I use either a 32 SD card or 64 SD card. After a 10 minute flight, I watch the video on the computer. I often get two video feeds about 3.5 or 4 Gig respectively instead of one video lasting 10 minutes for about 8 Gig or so. How can I get the entire flight on one video feed?

There's another 'secret' button. It's on the top right of the controller and if you press it a certain way, voila! the controller turns on!

Great tip - Several times now I've set out to use my drone and remote didnt connect.( I think the start up sequence might have something to do with it?) I fiddle for ages by which time the battery is half dead. This is much quicker way - Cheers

I need your help please. My mavic air cannot be connected by the traditional method so I started to try these methods that you show. So I can connect and link the controller but after a few minutes the connection is lost. Can you think of what might be happening to it? I've had it for a long time and never had this problem.

The transmission system on the Mavic Air isn’t very good, this might be why you’re experiencing that.

@@billykyle Thanks for answering. I finally fixed it, the inconvenience was very crazy. The problem was an sd that I had put in and it was causing the problem 😵‍💫. I replaced it and it was the solution. I still can not believe it

morning Billy. My Mavic air assistant 2 would not allow firmware updates so i went to DJI and downloaded Mavic air 2 assistant thinking it would be a seperate icon on desktop. It actually owerwrite my mavic air assistant and now is useless as my mavic air cant talk with the new assistant. help please buddy . I hope DJi havew not stopped firmware updates for the mavic air... that woul dbe naughty

Some buyers of the Air have reported a continuous beep when they turn on the controller. Do you have any info on that and whether DJI has fixed this glitch?

Billy when I'm using my controller and my phone is the dashboard in the lower left hand side there is a circle that indicates direction of travel how do I enable that? Thx just got drone back from repair shop. Search: Angry cyclist kills Drone.

The Mavic Air is newer, but the Mavic Pro has more power. It's a toss up. If you want to wait, Mavic Pro 2 rumors have been spreading.

The light on my drone is solid yellow. It has frozen up and is not reacting to anything. The drone turns on and twitches, but it's not connecting to anything.

Billy, i need your help, When I 1st got my mavic pro A copy of videos and photos saved to my phone. All of a sudden, only videos will save to my phone, photos are nowhere to be found except on the sd card. I thought it could be something wrong with the mavic pro, but it's the same for my air. Any ideas?

Yeah, but some manuals can be a pain to read. Details are not always clearly described and/or poorly worded or even missing altogether. Besides it's more fun to watch youtube videos with a cold beer and learn things "hands on". Billy always does a great job. Never a waste of time. He's articulate and get's right to the point. Awesome job Billy!

You may need to download the manuals from the DJI website. I just brought a Mavic Air and it did not come with a user manual. It came with the following manuals: (1) Battery Charging Hub; (2) Quick Start Guide; (2) Battery to Power bank Adaptor guide: (3) Battery Safety Guidlines: (4) Disclaimer and Safety Guidelines: (5); and Propeller Guards manuals. No Mavic Air User Manual. After looking at this video and some comments that it is in the manual and decided to go to DJI website and, behold, download the Mavic Air User Manual. The website also had instruction manual for flight controller to some other manuals that might be helpful and not found in the box. Again, go to the DJI website and download the manual.

I’ve always synced the remote to the drone by using the option on the remote to sync. You have about a minute to press the hidden button near the memory card. A lot less steps

i took a mevic air and after two months it's not working i inform to [e-mail] and waiting for 5 day (working days) to have a reply ,,Donot buy this product and very poor customer service ,,I'm in sri lanka and they donot have a authorized service agent even to handle any issue ,,so i need to send it dji directly with my cost ,,I can show proof to any one on this ,, this is a proto type product which has so many issues ,,you can find all these issues in so many forums and youtube

Weird that your mavic air wasnt linked to the controller. Should be the case out of the box. I have never linked them.
