Do you think it'll ever be possible to develop gene therapy for simple (and potentially life-saving) things like allergies that affect the airways like an allergy to cats or peanuts?

Hi John! Wow, that's a really interesting question. To be honest, we are not really sure, but we are very bullish on the potential of biotechnology. That's why we're so excited about making biotech more accessible :) (but we're starting with comparatively simple DNA analysis. Crawl before you walk, etc.) It looks like there are people who are working on e.g. a peanut allergy gene therapy though: news.weill.cornell.edu/news/2016/06/new-gene-therapy-protects-against-peanut-allergy Our guess is that it is a question of when, rather than if. (but we're not making predictions on the when ;) )
