I love seeing the DOC and I marvel at his transparency and honesty about his rap journey. Although his personal rap career was cut short, the fact that he’s revered by so many people just off of his debut album tells you all you need to know about his greatness! His massive influence and behind the scenes contributions of both lyrics and ideas to West Coast hip hop music is unmatched. He also has the honor of saying he’s Dr. Dre’s first protege. It’s the diggy diddy DOC y’all! 👊🏽💯

Speaking of Cube translating stories to wax... ...I remember reading in a magazine waaaay back, one of those Lench Mob guys - in his crew ( I think he's doing Life right now), said he was on a plane with Cube. He started having a conversation about how he'd leave town to sell drugs, and by the time the plane landed, Cube wrote My Summer Vacation... ...if that's accurate, that's a dope story about a REAL dope song..

Agreed DOC! Everyone tries to say 2Pac was the true reprentative of gangster/west coast rap. Nope. In fact they both had 2 different styles basically. But in my opinion I don’t see how so many can’t see Ice Cube as the all-time best West Coast rapper. But to each his own. 2Pac was great, but not the greatest.

Grand Finale was hard💪 And D.O.C. finished that cut in true emcee fashion; the best verse 🎤👌 Cube was a better & more well-rounded emcee overall, but D.O.C. got with'em on that cut, lol👍 Everybody delivered, tho 🎙🙌 I vividly remember thinking back then that Cube sounded like he was about to leave 🤔 His verse lacked the same energy & gusto ⚡️ he'd had on the NWA records (Fuck The Police, Straight Outta Compton, etc), where he was nothing short of ferocious 💯💪😤 He sorta had a weird, even mono-tone on Grand Finale...I could perceive that something was afoot.

@williamshoven

@@thinkforward8752 I disagree that DOC is the best rapper, there's 3 off the top that in my opinion are better than the DOC. I like the DOC my favorite is the Formula. Ice Cube was angry and fed up about the contracts, they wanted him to sign and he knew he was on his way out of the group. Hence why he says Ice Cube is the shit on the Grand Finale. The homies and i after hearing that track said Ice Cube sounds pissed off and sure enough he was pissed.

I agree with D.O.C., without Eazy-E, the other variants of N.W.A. that have appeared on record after E’s death are nugatory. There’s just too much of a void without Eazy-E being here, N.W.A. feels hopelessly flawed.

@@westdino5 Snoop being subpar to you is your own foolish opinion. He has 9 platinum albums but a bum like you think you can critique his artistry. OKAY 🤡 yes he taught Snoop how to write songs, because all Snoop could do was freestyle. He taught Snoop how to structure his raps, how to break them into bars and hooks. That is what i mean about “write”. If Snoop did not write his Songs, Suge Knight would have exposed Snoop a long time ago like he exposed Dre for taking credit from Daz. Suge has been very critical of Snoop for years but what you will never hear him say is DOC wrote for Snoop. So that’s how I know you’re a flat azzz liar only here to hate..
