Attention MagicJohnson & Michael Cooper this isn’t the 1st time that move was ever done, actually listen to Doctor J.’s interview , he will tell you Himself whom he would try to imitate & whom he got his style of play from including that particular move. The man’s name whom he was talking about was ELGIN BAYLOR who was all Everything when he played with the Lakers In which if they would watch some of The Old Laker Tapes especially by both of them being Lakers, they would not only see Baylor do that move but also do some more impossible extraordinary moves that you couldn’t imagine. Everyone in This new Generation thinks that Michael Jordan has the greatest hangtime ever in the air- well that’s BULLSHIT, Elgin Baylor was & still is in a Class by Himself as far as being the complete basketball. Jordan & Dr. J & Outside shooting of Bird were a combo of moves of Baylor along with his Air & Hangtime, & He was Deadly shooting from the outside 10ft & Beyond. I’ve seen him do that move lots of times leaving 2 or more defenders helpless. This Guy was Unguardable. He scored 71 points in 2 & 1/2 Periods in a game against the Knicks and was taken out of the game midway the 3rd period with the remaining half of the third & all of the 4the period to play. He was absolutely unstoppabl. I would have loved to have seen him screw over Dr. J, Bird, Rodman, Pippen, & Michael Jordan. I been Blessed & got a chance to live to see the Players of that generation all the way up to now & if you get a chance I am going to name you just a few who could play with this new generation of players today. Here are just a few, Rick Barry, Jerry West, Dave Bing, Lee Hudson, John Havelacek, Connie Hawkins, Wilt Chamberlain, Walt Frazier, Earl Monroe, Cazzie Russell, George Gervin Oscar Robertson Elvin Hayes, Akeem Elijuwhan, Moses Malone, just to name a few. Please remember I was very fortunate when I was Young & in Hi School to get to play Pickup games with some of these Pro’s & also fortunate to see how the game has progressed. Yes the player’s of today are Bigger, Faster, Stronger & more skilled in every sport from football, baseball , basketball, hockey even track & field, but some of the players above that I’ve named could play with the players of today.
