The Gavin Lux experiment needs to end. Not just for the immediate success of the Dodgers, but the future of his MLB career. As his season continues to tread water, Lux is getting a runway to playing time that plainly isn't earned.
And could be hurting Gavin's career long term.
I break down other internal options whose play should be earning them chances to play at the big league level. And while they're getting those opportunities, Lux can return to the minor leagues and potentially find something that clicks for him offensively.
The Dodgers told us he'd get 150 at-bats to find himself at the plate. He's blown past that mark and there's no breakout in sight.
