Ohtani will not join a team with Japanese players. Why does no one point this out? He won't go where he can't be in the dugout with Ippei. And if there are two Japanese players, Ohtani will hog all the spotlight, leaving the other person feeling small. Ohtani is a thoughtful person who considers such things. What he wants is a team that allows him to be a two-way player, gives him the DH spot, and is capable of winning. Also, somewhere not too far from Japan because fans find it hard to come. So, while it might seem like it's about the team, if there's too much fuss, Ohtani might defy expectations and end up somewhere unexpected, out of spite for the naysayers. Let's quietly watch over him. He is an exceptional being in every aspect.

Right they still will get bounced out of the postseason as they always do but it will just be the principle that these big market teams just overpower everybody and there’s just no way for a medium or small market team to even win because there’s no salary cap I would have to stop watching baseball until they at least put a salary cap in place to make the games actually competitive for all teams in to give all teams a shot to win I mean it’s been nine years since my hometown won the World Series Kansas City And let’s not forget about how crazy the situation is in Oakland where the owner is in the process of moving to Vegas because his team can’t win and plus he feels even if he pays the money to put a winning product on the field that the A’s will just get bounced out of the postseason by some big market team that can afford all the players like the Yankees And the same thing with the owner here in Kansas City I mean, what’s the point of trying your best to put a winning product on the field, knowing that you have the big bad Yankees on the way or in the case of like the Cincinnati Reds or somebody in a small market, like the Brewers or somebody like that trying to put the best big market trying to pay for somebody like Shohei to pay him to play for you when you have the big bad Dodgers, getting ready to come in and try to bounce you out of the postseason so they need to consider putting in a salary cap to actually make it where teams can actually play and win and have a opportunity to win that’s why the small market teams won’t spend any money in the media market teams urges you know when they feel they have a chance like the Rangers or the cheating Astros then they just go all Lynn and hope for the best because their media markets

Buehler is coming back, and Kershaw is probably resign. Not to mention the half dozen MLB ready starting pitchers in their system, headed by Bobby Miller whos only going to improve.

They've also been to 3 WS in the last 7 seasons... no other team besides the Stros can say anything close. If ohtani signs for 5 years, he's guaranteed 2 or 3 real cracks at winning a chip

Right they really need to put a salary tap in place. Otherwise eventually people are going to stop watching if the Yankees and the Dodgers and all of these big market teams just keep paying all these players to just play for the big markets. What’s the point of the medium and small markets like it’s been about nine years since my hometown the Kansas City Royals even won the World Series and made it to the World Series and look at Oakland trying to move to Vegas to try to boost them getting better. And then people keep wondering why Oakland and Kansas City and Cincinnati won’t pay players well why pay somebody when you have the big bad Yankees coming to town to knock you out of the postseason or are you have the big bad Dodgers coming to town to knock you out of the postseason because they these teams have literally every single star on their team, it will be not even competitive anymore. It’ll be pointless to even watch. So they better put a salary cap in place soon and Tony Clark the head union rep. He better get over not having a salary cap because if these teams just keep paying for everybody to be on their team eventually baseball players are not even gonna want to pay play anymore without a salary cap. Because I don’t even understand right now why the medium or small market teams even play competitively anymore the only thing that’s great about it is that these big market teams have been just getting knocked out of the postseason very very quickly to make it where a small market team or medium market team ends at winning the World Series, but the question is is that just luck and how long is it going to continue? You gotta realize, Moreno f****d up not trading ohtani at the deadline this season, then dumped his own farm system to go all in for the biggest failure of a playoff push in the 2nd half. Now ohtani as a free agent owes nothing to the Angels, the Angels get nothing for him leaving now. Their only other BIG controllable asset isn't enough to win a chip, let alone even make the playoffs. Rendons contract was a fleece from him, theyll never unload him onto another team, trout is their only true asset. With both on the Angels, they wont be able to financially fill the holes they have on the team. If the dodgers offer the best package deal in return for trout, it cuts 40m a year off their salary, and rebolsters their farm and 40 man roster for next season for a quick rebuild.
