It's quite telling that the wee girl seizes her chance to have some time with the dog before her brother; it's quite common for us sibs to want to carve out a space for ourselves, where a lot of care and attention is (absolutely understandably) directed towards the child whose needs are more complex. It was nice to see someone making an effort to include them both at the start, too, and it looks like both kids will get companionship from their new dog friend!

I got that impression, especially with the instant whining when his sister played with the dog. It's learned behaviour. I get the feeling the sister's needs are back burnered a lot and the focus is mainly on the brother, and this is the parents fault.

My first JRT lived for 19yrs, Snoops was with us from 3wks old, a rescue pup. Now my Esme, another JRT is 2yrs old and just as loving, loyal, funny, and my constant companion. I love her, and loved Snoops dearly. They're a wonderful breed of dog, I'm so pleased Rocco has his family now. They won't be disappointed.

Mine turns 19 in 2 months. She's a rescue who has been with me since she was 5 months.

I had a Jack Russell, he was the most amazing dog I've ever had. Grew up with him. You know when you have dogs all your life but you have that "one dog" that was just your ultimate favourite, he was that dog. He had the funniest personality and used to skip everywhere, going for walks he would walk himself, you'd just fold the lead up and he would hold it in his mouth. Always used zebra crossings, never went in the road. He was so intelligent and just adorable. I miss him so much! Had to have him put down in 2012 at the age of 15 💞

I am actually shocked how mismatched the dogs are with their new parents. You are palming off a dog who has had surgery with people who may be unable to support medical bills Now a large young dog with people who want a dog that chills quietly. I think you should let people pick their own dog. Tell them their needs, and make sure they can afford that.
