You should learn basic greetings / honorifics (sir, uncle, elder), in Dogon. It's really, really important, the way you greet elders in most west African towns greatly defines peoples perceptions of a person and greeting elders properly in the local dialect would impress them more and make them trust you and open open up to you more.

I also heard "Sige na", Sige na in the Phillippines means "C'mon or come on, wow i am really proud Tagalog language has some ties with the Dogon, even the way it is pronounced in Dogon.
