This transition phase to the Michael McDonald R&B style was an amazing success for the Doobies. Amazing how seamlessly they could venture from rock to country/rock to R&B. The Doobies are one of rocks most talented and flexible bands and in this case , Pat Simmons demonstrate his prowess on that guitar solo near the end of the song. Wow. And they’re still at it with Tom J back, as good as ever!
