Got to see them just before they disbanded in the 80’s. Back when Tom was having medical issues but Michael McDonald was great.

All right. Finally, some new music with Michael back in. Tom sounds great, too. The whole band sounds great. Mavis sounds great too.

I love the Doobie brothers! But this does nothing for me. It sounds like Michael McDonald with Mavis Staples. Almost sounds overproduced or something. I do look forward to the rest of the album and hope I hear the Doobie Brothers.

Great song… I long for that hard driving guitar, lyrics and vocals of Tom Johnston. I hope there’s a few songs on here that will satisfy his fans!! Great vocals by all the guys and Mavis Staples on this song!!

After the disappointingly so-so "Liberte" album, this is much more like it. Just like old times.

For some reason it just doesn't cut it for me. I will re- listen when I get more coffee in me.

Great song, but I do find the the production a bit too heavy, especially that snare drum. Looking forward to more tracks!

I’ve never cared for Michael’s voice either. I agree it just doesn’t fit the original Doobie’s sound. It’s fine if he wants to be a solo performer, but don’t mess up the classic Doobie’s sound. I sure wouldn’t want to listen to a whole album of him “singing along with the Doobies”. I won’t be buying this or streaming it. The main problem is Michael’s voice sounds the same on everything he sings. His voice is unique, but always sounds strained and irritating after about 5 minutes of listening to it. Give me Tom, Patrick and John all day long. 😊

I’ve now seen y’all 3 times in concert: Fort Worth/Tarrant County Convention Center in the 70s, Houston in the 90s and Dallas at the Meyerson in the 2000s! Y’all signed my Toulouse Street album in Houston backstage! And a buddy who worked on one of your tours got you to sign a group pic for a wedding gift! Keep rocking! Y’all are the best!
