How, in God's name, did it take until 2020 for the Doobie Bros to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?? They were, and still are, one of the best rock and roll bands on planet Earth!

Love to hear that comment - as amazing as Michael is (and Pat for that matter), Tommy IS the Doobie Brothers. I just saw them a month ago and he sounded sooooo good - a couple years prior I was able to do a meet and greet with Tom, Pat, and John McFee - was a great experience.

@@raymondtovey3722 🤔 not sure I can agree with you there. Johnston fits the doobies sound a bit more I feel but Henley is a damn good vocalist. Two different really, both bluesy but Johnson more of a raw, throaty shouting. Henley, very gentle singing, excellent vibrato, a bit raspy and in some cases nasally.

this song takes me back to 1979 i was so in love with this bartender i was 22 at the time he married another this song saw me thru that terrible time. i married someone else. eventually we both found ourselves divorced. we married we divorced shortly. he passed away 2011. this song still makes me ache at 68. afteepr a breakup just move on with life
