I saw The Doors in Moscow in 2010. How? Manzarek and Krieger came and played in person, and they brought some young guy, looking and singing just as Morrison. Unbelievable impression, just as you hear The Doors back then. I must say, here in Russia in 60's to 80's all the rock music was coming to us like a light from a distant star. No concerts, no records, Iron Curtain only. So in 2010, I was riding a time machine listening to The Doors.

Before the show Mick came to talk to Jim about what to do playing these bigger venues where the stages are bigger, like how to use the space, to dance and whatnot....And while Jim was on for this show, I would say it was a pretty subdued performance as far as him dancing/engaging the audience. But I mean Jim was never gonna be like Jagger running around on stage and dancing the entire set. The Stones weren't immune to these "subdued" type performances, Rock and Roll Circus comes to mind

I so appreciate that I was born when I was born, this music is so great. I kinda feel sorry for the last 2 generations, they seem to feel they have to listen to a genre of music called Rap/Hip Hop. There are 2 million Rap/Hip Hop tunes with a total of 2 different beats and maybe 3 different melodies. Yep it all sounds the same since Run DMC in the 1980's. Will that beat ever end?
