When Jim told the other bandmates to start writing songs, Jim said just write about something that will last for time, not trendy things.(This is according to Robbie). Robbie thought about it, & came up with "Light My Fire"!!! So trendy themes are out. This song, & most of other "Doors" songs, are proving the test of time, as you said.

Bro, I fucking love it cause it's sooo great and such an amazing song. I'll always be ina terrific mood and I'll be in a better place in my heart. BUT I'll always have such sadness for his death. I hate that he's in the 27 club. Like for real right it's such a terrible problem and situation does that haveta happen and it's a fucking bitch but we're born to die. Unfortunately we're all in this together and it's a good thing cause we only havea short amount of time but we don't know when or how we'll die. We can chose everything else in life besides that and that's just such bonkers like for real.

Indeed. I think great music is kinda cyclical. When you first hear it, you replay it until you're tired of it. Then you don't listen to it for years, then give it another go, and are newly appreciative of it: "hey, now I remember why I loved this shit so much." I guess if we were immortal, eventually it would become dull, but alas, or fortunately, we're not, so "what's old is new again" still applies.

If you had a brain, you would take it out and play with it. Listen stupid person, " Everybody talking about Heaven { ain't } going there. " " He was in the world and the world was made through Him and the world { did not } know Him. He came to His own, and His own { did not } receive Him. But as many as received Him, to { them } He gave the right to become children of God. To those { who believe in His name } , who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. " To those who are born from above. To those who are born of the { Spirit } . To those who are { born again } . And { only } to those. ✔

Me, my grandfather and grandmother was sitting in their living room with an old TV. It was december 1967. I was 7 years old - not too old, but not too young to appreciate good music. Suddenly I was mesmerized as this song came on TV and I watched the doors doing a magic performance on an urban square. Morrison dangling, his hair swaying in the wind. On the spot I decides to let my hair grow, to want a leather jacket and to save my money for Doors LP's. Within a year from that night with my Grandparent I owned both 'The Doors', 'Strange Days' and 'Waiting for the Sun'. Ever so often I scrutinized the cover of Strange Days to find hidden details. Only now the cover reveals itself :-). Anyway, thanks for that moment in time that not only send me in orbit around The Doors, but also freezes a long lost moment in time with my grandparents..... I wonder what they were thinking.... they were born in the 1880'es....

Ray on the left headphone with the rustic sounding Harpsichord accompaniment, and Robbie’s mystical sexual eargasm of guitar work and solos on the right through speakers / headphones… Jim’s crooner vocal and John Densmore’s Jazz’esc hold and flow of the song and band balanced throughout.
