forest was my first festival, way back in 2012. every other festival i've been to, i catch myself thinking "this is cool, but it's not forest." this is truly a special place, no one does it better.

the tip of dont let one bad moment ruin the whole festival is a big mood the forest is a magical place and things will always work itself out 2 years ago i forgot the poles to my tent and our lovely neighbor brought an extra tent and let us use it! forest is magic i swear.

I wonder if sometimes I come across as giving a weird look at a show - but actually im just trippin hard and on a different wavelength. I feel like that happened to me at Illenium recently where I was tripping and others around me were rolling hard and we were not on the same wave length lol. All of us were enjoying ourselves but definitely feeling different vibes in the moment.

The weather this year is already rumored to be all over the place, but one consistant thing is on the cooler side of things and most likely rain on Wednesday or Thursday! However as a Midwesterner who lives in Minnesota that could change on the spot, so no promises! Prepare for any kind of weather and bring a tarp for your camp site!! PS: I love your channel!! You're right about the police. I was talking to them when my pupils were wide open. They were very cool, the older officer was just trying to explain to the younger one why I was carrying a sign. We had a nice brief conversation about how it's the best way to keep a group together through the festival chaos. Then I went back to dancing with the sign. :)

My husband and I are going hiking and camping a week before on the way to Michigan so that and forest are our honeymoon! were so excited to experience electric forest and all the good vibes!! ALSO YES YES YES TO MINIMAL PHONE USE....if you're on your phone the whole time you're not really experiencing the festival!!!

I agree! I feel like a big thing for me at festivals is dont be so caught up in capturing everything and just enjoy the moment like you said. A small video if your favorite artist is one thing, but Im not a fan when im at a stage and all I see are others peoples phones and nothing else.

FYI a message from those who are up here...the weather this year has been quite chilly especially at night. I'm saying this as I'm sitting in 58 degree weather this morning and wearing a leather jacket in Chicago and I live in Northwest Indiana. We could get lucky with a warm-up but come PREPARED!!! It has been raining like crazy this year (at least 4 days each week) ...just sayin'.

It's a camping festival, it is 5days with early arrival, it allows re entry to festival. You can leave and walk back in(gotta go through security everytime you re enter venue, secret sets all over the place, the party actually never stops....when the forest closes the rvs and make shift sets are all over the place. A lot more people on acid lol

When we camp, we use the "leave no trace, pack in - pack out" method to try and minimize impact on the environment. Here in CO it's important because of the wildlife (bears, bobcats, mountain lions, elk, etc) and the forest (fires). I don't know about the natural wildlife there, but I'm sure tent stakes and old beer isn't a good enviro for them. Let's be considerate of the life that was here first!
