Sir Alex never had the most sophisticated tactics and training. What he has is an incredible work ethic, culture and discipline which is reflected in his dressing room. No one player ever crossed the line. He has always kept the senior players despite them not playing regularly because they are the stalwarts and guardians of the dressing room culture. When Moyes joined, and later LvG, these seniors were let go, replaced by signings who never understood what playing for Man Utd means and that's the start of the dressing room decline.

Yes. Taking those seniors was like a culture reset which we still have problems because

The last point about Fergie wanting players to challenge him and show personality is the reason United teams didn't feel robotic. It was based around great players with the ability to express rather than just relying on the tactics/system.

Sir Alex, there's nobody above him, or on the side. Just under him. There will be no other like Sir Alex. Easy as that. You don't mess with him. And he won 13 EPL, how he manage to get to everybody to sacrificed everything for him and the club year after year in 26 years is unbelievable. His the greatest and will always be.

As an Arsenal supporter for 26 years, Sir Alex won as many Premier Leagues (13) as Arsenal have won in our entire history. That alone makes him to me the greatest manager ever. Pep no doubt is the manager that has played the best football ever (Barcelona 2008-12), but Sir Alex has done it over such a long period of time. Also, Manchester United between 99-03 was one of the best football teams i've ever seen. They could do everything, passing football, crossing, tap in, screamers, one-twos...etc, everything. They were so entertaining to watch. Pep with Man City in 2017-18 was amazing to watch, but alot of seasons after that it just became too samey to watch. Pass, pass but with no flair or skills. Wenger on the other hand at his best was probably the best football ever, because he did in the premier league which is harder to play great football than la liga. There were times that Arsenal (2002-06, 07-08, the Wilshere goal 2013, the Rosicky goal 20??) were the harlem globetrotters of football. Anyhow to me the list is: 1. Sir Alex Ferguson 2. Pep Guardiola 3. Arsene Wenger Thats just my opinion.

These two individuals with their behaviour and lack of respect for officials have a lot to answer for with the current state of the game with good referees hard to find. A bit more humility and respect wouldn’t have gone amiss.

One of the problems we have with players now is that we don't look at there characters before signing when Ferguson put that first. Why got rid of Pogba and now look at the damage pogba caused the players around him and ruined the culture which still going on today, amad and onana doing dancing videos in dressing room when we are 13th in league, houjlund interview with goldbridge after a couple of goals, just for them things alone they would be gone and never played for us again
@ANGELOFDARKification15 сағат бұрын
I think that's more a generation/social media thing than those individual players. Whatever you think of Pogba, Amad, Hojlund, Onana, there is no proof they don't work their socks off or do anything detrimental as a professional. A social media video of them having fun and dancing isn't going to change anything. It's poor recruitment and always relying on 2/3 players instead of the whole team which has cost us.
@stevendchu3 сағат бұрын
@@ANGELOFDARKification I think the bigger problem with Pogba was that he was arguably overrated and needed elite talent around him in midfield to perform at his best. Think about it. At Juve he was surrounded by Pirlo/Vidal/Marchisio. With France he had the safety of Kante and Matuidi to allow him to roam. United paid him to be the main man, when he was never disciplined enough to be.

@oigioioivn11 сағат бұрын
Thats the reason Ferguson was so successful. He want his player to be at 100% focus on the pitch. Stam released a book that has something Ferguson did not like and he get rid of him. Same with Roy Kean, if you dont getting along with Ferguson doesn't matter who you are, you will be out the next morning.

@andyhello23......Sir Alex had the humility to admit in later years that getting rid of Stam was his biggest ever mistake
