Did you know she is the maternal granddaughter of Dino De Laurentis, the famous film director? Her mom was also the daughter of the the great director and Giada's dad was an actor producer. That is why she can go in the camera and ACT. I wonder how many of those books did she write herself? Her life was very hard as his father beat her mother daily basis, she lost a brother who passed away in an accident and I believe her mother committed suicide after that. She's not nice at all, she treated fans harshly and was completely dismissive (I watching this happening to friends, personally I wasn't keen to be there to begin with). First off, I will say I do enjoy her show and think she's a great cook, oops I'm sorry, "chef." I use her recipes all the time and they are good. As for her personal life, none of us are perfect and nothing really surprises me these days. But I will say that I HAVE noticed that even her own (Italian) Aunt who's on the show with her sometimes seems a little scared of her. I'm guessing I probably wouldn't like Giada if I met her, but again, she's a good cook and that's all I really need her for!
