I know that as far as fitz is concerned, him and a lot of the misfits got pretty well off during their big era of success and a huge part of fitz specifically having these multiple month gaps between uploading, as mentioned in a few videos and podcasts, is that he just doesn’t want to post. He isn’t really passionate about content like he once was and is likely doing his own thing in life. All the drama probably didn’t help but a lot of these guys are not doing content as often because they don’t need to.

If anyone in these comments pioneered a specific format, editing style, and content then it gets stolen by a creator with way more reach that doesn’t want to give any credit publicly. I would be annoyed. For Carson though, I think it’s in poor taste because he doesn’t have a strong group anymore plus he fell off so it comes off as desperate. He should’ve said that he’s grateful to have that level of influence and success to inspire someone like Tommy while also poking fun with these examples he brought up.
