We were being abused while my grandpa was out and about and, if he was alive, he had no idea anything was going on. We were afraid of the repercussions of an official telling this family member because he could get scary 😰 My grandpa passed in 2001 but I left the apartment in 1999.

Hey Melissa- everyone’s pain is relative. We all go through it, and it’s just as valid as the next persons’s pain. You’ve been through so much trauma - losing your mom, being molested, losing your beloved grandpa three days before giving birth, and then kicked out by your aunt. Almost dying at the hands of an abusive POS, the doctor and nurses treating you less than human …. And not having your five kids. Please please recognize that you have survived SO much and have the grit and stamina t do so much more … clean. If you can survive all that, you can survive sickness and cravings. I knew it was just the same crazy trick that just had me in his car until I made him worried he could get pulled over if he didn’t stop at the light, and I jumped out, cause I saw the body in his car. I smelled it first & my hair stood up on my neck, and then I knew why his hair was standing up like that. I actually called the police, but they just laughed at me because they knew who I was. They asked what drugs I was doing, but I actually didn’t do drugs at all, in those years. It does make you realize you could just disappear and it wouldn’t matter to anyone. The grandfather lost his wife and his kids lost their mother. Melisas kids have lost her as a mother. Theme's past down the line. When I did my family tree and researched my ancestors the same themes and hardships were in their lives as my life. It's about breaking the loop. Which is dam hard. Thank you for sharing your story Melissa! ❤ Your heart is beautiful, and what humanity needs more of. Those health care people who are to uphold the Hippocratic oath failed you. You were vulnerable person. Kuddos to you for taking the high road. You are courageous and intelligent. Wishing you peace and love on your journey moving forward ✨️ 🙏

'Mam, whoever told you that you "haven't been through much" is wrong. You have an incredible outlook on life, due to your Grandfather (may God rest his soul) and the example he set of *true* hardship. It certainly gave you a positive perspective on life, and that can go far. However, you shouldn't be gaslit into thinking you haven't been through horrible, traumatic events. You *deserve* to grieve, cry, and scream with anger. You deserve help. I wish you the best, truly, and PLEASE keep up the good fight!

Poor lady, this interview _as the others_ shows how abuse gets young undoubtful children in a bad vicious circle. That leg shaking when about to tell the molestation story… I feel so sorry for her.

_Undoubtful_ children? What do you mean?

@@PrimateProductions sorry English isn’t my first language. I meant these poor children going through all of this crap, without even knowing that it is terrible adults’ fault.

@@fricardpro oh ok...no worries. I just wasn't quite sure what you meant. Your English is actually very good considering it is not your native language!

I remember when I couldn't keep eye contact, through shame and active addiction. I started at 12 and had a psychic change at 42....No human power...Your still here. Jesus saves!

Mark, I hope you know how important the work you are doing is! You have a marvelous ability to earn the trust of your subjects with your caring, non-judgmental demeanor. I like to imagine a world where your attitude is the predominant one, and these marginalized folks are no longer considered "other", but also God's children, just like the rest of us. Bless you, my friend.

I'm so sorry you have never had any proper support. Despite all your trauma you still have a big heart. I pray you can find a way and find some support. Continue being brave, you have so much potential and so much love inside.
