Kick is having some drama, too. Two Kick streamers started harassing a random couple, and when said couple started to rightfully defend themselves, one of the streamers pepper sprayed them while the other waved a gun around saying he was going to blow the couple away. As a result, they were arrested, and they tried to tell the cops that they were innocent, but the problem with their statement was that the entire event was livestreamed by the streamers themselves

As a kid that had unlimited internet access and was severely groomed and now I'm 21 and super traumatized, THANK YOU for warning minors and telling them to tell someone. I had nobody to tell me what I was doing was wrong, because people weren't speaking about internet grooming. Also, for minor who might be texted by adults : 1- Nothing to be ashamed of. You didn't lead them on in any way. Even if you were hyper vulgar and direct or whatever, you're a minor, they're not. 2- You're not "so mature for your age". We love to think that. They know we love to hear that. That's a huge red flag. Ask for help. 3- Don't feel bad for them. They made the mistake, they reap what they sow. Your wellbeing isn't less important than their career or whatever.

@@axeldasilva666 It literally wouldn't matter if she instigated it. It is on the person in the position of power to do the right thing even in cases between two adults. A celebrity and a superfan, for example, is a terrible and imbalanced acquaintanceship. But a middle-aged man and a 17 year old simultaneously being a celebrity and superfan? Absolutely not. Any decent adult would know better, and no doubt "Dr. Disrespect" also knew better, but he was thinking with his second head instead of his real head. That's on him, not the girl.

@@axeldasilva666 A seventeen year old is still a kid bro. And also dude, it is fine and usual for kids to be attracted to adults, especially if they're teenagers. It is, quite literally, on the adult for acting in an inappropriate manner with the teenager. Maybe you just managed to completely skip over being a teenager, or are too young to have even reached that state in life, but any type of kid (or anyone really, which is why there is still the celebrity and superfan dynamic) can get overwhelmed when talking to somebody they admire. They may forget or ignore how wrong it is in the moment, because it is possibly their dream come true. So even if it was two consenting adults, it is still wrong, but it wasn't between two consenting adults. Also, even if she was 18, she is still a teenager, still a kid. You don't turn 18 and suddenly know how to handle everything in your life, and when a situation is wrong or shouldn't be happening.

Reminds me of that video that came out like two or three years ago, I saw it because I more specifically watched a video of Moist Cr1t1kal/penguinz0/Charlie White talking about it (with brief clips of it spliced in between some of the things he said about it). The video in question he was talking about/showing was a sermon that this pastor guy (or w/e his official title would be) was giving. He was talking about how he had "committed adultery" and how he felt "tremendous guilt" over it or something. Then a young woman - who seemed to be in her 20s - stood up and interrupted his speech, stepping up to the mic on stage, shaking like a leaf. She, while on the verge of tears, explained fervently that he was lying by omission in the way he told the situation, because he left out the part wherein his "mistress" was actually 16. She of course said that the reason she knows this to be true is because she was that 16 year old in question. As you can probably imagine, she did seek help from within the local community - both the church and with the police - and, to my knowledge, basically nothing was done. So she kept silent until that day, in which something inside of her snapped upon hearing him say all that, and she just couldn't take it anymore. I remember the crowd turning on this man, and the victim who interrupted him was VERY shocked to see anybody - let alone the majority of people there - defending her. That just in and of itself hit so close to home for me and hurt so deeply. I remember the preacher guy said something like "Like I said, I'm not proud of what I did, but it was a mistake/I'm only human/etc" or w/e, to which this one other woman - who, from what I could tell, was the one filming - yelled out "You didn't tell us she was FOURTEEN", to which he - i shit you not - replied "Actually, she was sixteen." And, of course, as the woman filming (& multiple others in the crowd) said, Charlie stated in his video how, obviously, her being 16 instead of 14 doesn't make it any better. Guy really tried the whole "tHiS cHiLd WaS bEhAvInG aS a SeDuCtReSs" bullshit false narrative. Literally sick. Despite the obvious miscarriage of justice given that he wasn't put behind bars (& vice versa for Guy whateverhislastnameis Disrespect), I'm still just glad that at least they've been publicly exposed & disowned & such, of course.

For what Sean was wondering YES sexting a minor is illegal (not only that but it's also illegal between two consenting minors as well iirc) AND this went to civil court for the case against Twitch which makes it so baffling because since it went through court if he had sexted a minor he would've been arrested, either by Twitch reporting him or the state going after his ass when reviewing the evidence during the Civil Court Case, that's one of the major things that makes no damn sense and makes this all so damn confusing, none of this makes any damn sense
@DarkusZarvix
@DarkusZarvix 7 ай бұрын
I'm no legal expert but, I don't think you can get arrested for a civil court case, right? A separate criminal case would need to be filed for criminality, I think... and it's possible there was some sort of settlement or agreement to not go any further... especially if the target of the civil court case was Twitch and not Dr. Disrespect himself. IDK much about that Twitch lawsuit though. I just wish these people were held to a higher standard for shit like this and not just deplatformed (years later at that) and that's it.

I love their disclaimer about how victims should tell others if they are being messaged or harassed BUT, I do have to mention that (like they briefly said) we lived in a fucked up world where victims can't come out without being further victimized. Even when it's someone you trust you can never know if they'll pull the "But why did you keep talking 🤨" or the "You should be grateful that someone of that popularity is talking to you. " All that to say REMEMBER YOU ARE THE VICTIM and people can't tell you what to feel. Don't feel guilty if you aren't ready to tell others, the world is scary and it is completely understandable to not feel comfortable.

As always though, depends on your judge. A lot of cases of “almost” and “intent” will get thrown out because the judge feels they have more important things to do, even if it is blatantly against the law. Now there's a lot of people trying to defend him even when he's admitted to grooming. To answer Sean's questions: It is illegal to sext a minor even if nothing physical happened. At minimum he could have at least been charged with the endagerment of a child. However, in the US there is a statute of limitations of 5 years for sex crimes (fucked up I know). At this point if it took place in 2017 it's too late to press charges against him. His victim(s) can sue him for what he did though. I'm not sure if twitch can be prosecuted though, there might be a legal basis to hold them accountable if it can be proven that they knew in 2020 (well before the statute ran out) and didn't get the police involved. I'm not a lawyer, but if a victim were to push it or attempt to sue them as well they could be held legally responsible for allowing it to happen.

Jack, you can keeop the airbrush from clogging more by thinning the paint just slightlyor just BARELY widening the hole on the airbrush gun (I used a pin from a sewing kit, ran it in the hole, and gently made a small circle to widen the hole slightly. Just don't do much - even a slight change can help keep the clogs down though. Oh and take breaks to wipe the airbrush off with an alcohol wipe - the buildup on the nozzle is part of what causes the clogging or drips.

54:20 Breaking down Terrence's quote: 1) "If 1 * 1 = 1 that means 2 is of 'no value' because 1 times itself has no effect" 1 is identity element of real number multiplication, which means for every real number x we have 1 * x = x (and that also goes for x = 1, yielding 1 * 1 = 1). That implies nothing about the result of multiplying by 2, so this is a non sequitur. 2) "1 * 1 = 2 because √4 = 2. So what's √2? Should be 1, but we're told it's 2, and that cannot be" It's true that √4 = 2, which means 2 * 2 = 4. He extrapolates from this that √x = x/2 (but that's only true for x = 4 and x = 0), and then concludes (for x = 2) that √2 = 2/2 = 1. So if √2 = 1 then 1 multiplied by itself is 2, and that's how he got to 1 * 1 = 2. So that's all this is: the nonsensical extrapolation of an equation (√x = x/2) that's not true in general. The most confusing thing about it is that he doesn't explicitly state the extrapolation, but that's why he says "So what's √2? Should be 1". No idea who told him that √2 = 2, though (√2 is an irrational number approximately equal to 1.41).

SOOOoooo (im happy i get to nerd out for a sec) the vagus nerve is one of the larger nerves in the upper area of your body. as a singer - you vagus nerve runs down your throat and has tribatry nerves (like streams from a main river) and they pass the pharanx and ventricular folds. this is why if you get emotional it goes straight to your throat as the vagus nerve is like a hotline to your vocal chords and agecent muscles involved. including muscles you wouldnt epect to effect singing such as the epiglotis. if your interested in learning more i highly recomend looking into it as its a facinating branch of music that is interwoven with biological functions, each unique to every person yet share a base line. and yet many people have an innate control over the vocal spasms caused by this nerve, being able to incorpirate it into a song to make it more powerful, a common example though different is that kind of haze and grit sound from incredible singers such as amber riley and tori kelly

The problem with Terrence Howard is not that he is actually stupid. It's that he is in that special place of knowing just enough that he thinks he has figured out something new. His 1×1=2 is a perfect example, he rejects theoretical math as a concept. So if the math is not tied down by physics it cannot exist in his mind. Since the square root of 2 is not either 1 or 2, it is a number that has no end he rejects it and claims that our understanding of multiplication is incorrect. In the most basic sense he rejects theoretical mathematics, you know the stuff that allows us to exist in the technological revolution and shapes modern understanding of the universe. Terrence also made a massive mistake of roping religious explanations for his discoveries. Claiming angels gave him this knowledge, but science is about factual reality and since he is not using real science no one is even wasting the time to correct him. The real problem is he is trying to teach this as a fact which he really has no business doing. He rarely accepts that he is incorrect and thinks that if people just listen to him they will understand the truth.

I grew up with unrestricted internet access in the early 2010s, back when kik was mostly just a messaging platform (and a HORRIBLE place to be as a young girl). It gets me in my heart to hear them talk about it now, because it was rarely talked about publicly back then. I think I turned out okay, but I'm sure there are parts of me that are affected by the grooming that I don't want to take a closer look at. Minors-- if ANY adult is consistently messaging you, stay wary. It's not love. It's not okay. It may make you feel important and mature, but it is wrong. End of story. Block and move on. Stay safe out there y'all.
