Great video guys! I really appreciate your hard work! I am a Blackhawks fan and the Hawks will be drafting in the top 3 for sure. What player would you draft if you were drafting for the Hawks based on their roster and prospects? I really like Porter Martone as a power forward but the consensus sees him not in the top 3.

I'm high on Schaefer and any team could use a great skating offensive D, but Hawks can't go wrong with a player like Martone or even Misa who can play the wing. Thanks for watching!

Hawks need size. But I would not take Martone. Hes a project to me. They have alot of left handed Defenceman. But not any like Schaefer. Hagen or Misa would fit well with Bedard who is not a center at this point. Levshunov will be a servible right D. Not sure about being a no 1 D. Not taking Demidov was a huge mistake .

im still high on frondell, not his season, but his mold as a player. big, chunky, get into the middle type of player.

Top 3 picks 2025 NHL draft in order 1.Schaefer 2. Hagens 3. Misa its not even debatable folks . Martone is a big body and can be a good hockey player but the three above are so talented and will be great wherever they go.. Schafer screams Drew Doughty and seeing how much Canada misses him shows hos value and worth in Gold!!!

Red Wings need a LW and or any high end scoring. Michael Misa would be an optimal outcome playing C/LW. LW Eklund or Frondell are basically a fit as every Swede within draft range of Detroit. McQueen is still an injury question mark. Or does SY go with defense to complete the 1st pairing with a LHD?

I just don't see it with Hagens. I'll be exagerating a bit just to sum things up but I see a few more similarities in him with a Jordan Dumais than with a Macklin Celebrini. His slow adapatation to the NCAA with his skills on this very team and on this freakin line with the 2 best mates any player at this level could dream of is a massive alert (if not waving red flag) for a kid who's on the older side of his class with a frame limitation (5'11) he does not overcome to clear his own path to the net.

Agreed...but he still has a decent hockey IQ and offensive upside, so if he fills in a bit more it may help him progress. Like I said in the show, I watch for the age thing and how dominant a player is from year to year...especially the older draft prospects (in this case the 06's).

@@CLo-ly1ic I think Schaefer will go #1 for most teams so Sharks likely need to win the lottery again to secure him. BUF I could see going Hagens as they have so many LHD already.

@jfkst1 even if Chicago gets the 1st overall pick I believe they would take Schaefer.. I know they already have Levshunov but Chicago should take a run at some big free agent wingers to play with Bedard..

Can’t see Mrtka NOT going Top 10. Tgeres just too much to like already, before we even get to his raw talent. Also can’t see how Schaefer isn’t #1. The difference he made in that Finland game, just can’t be ignored for a kid who will barely turn 18 next September. Hagens is a great prospect but can’t see him ever being more than a 2C. He lives off that extra second he gets in juniors, and even in college, where he hasn’t adapted the way you wanna see. Misa is gonna have more teams see him as a C, and that’ll make the difference why he’s the first forward off the board. If Frondell gets hot, and maybe is even invited to Worlds in the Spring, then plays well, he could sneak into the 3rd slot. Martone is more Mark Stone with better wheels, than he is either Tkachuk. He can fall more than the others, minus Frondell, who if this season continues, he can fall out of the top 10. Eklund is gonna depend on who’s drafting where. If Detroit is 4th or 5th and it’s Martone and Eklund, they’ll likely take Eklund because looks like he’ll be able to drive a line from the outside, like we’re seeing Lucas Raymond do. The big thing is, if you’re a GM and don’t take Schaefer, that’s the type of miss that does get you fired. If Buffalo or Detroit get it, with what they have and/or have coming on D, the trade offers will be insane, but I’d wager, they still would take him and maybe look to adjust their roster other ways. Like Detroit trading ASP, or something like that, for another young player. Just imagine that D with Seider, Edvinsson, ASP and Schaefer.

@@tomslick2058Davidson taking Levshunov over Demidov at #2 in 2024 may go down as one of his biggest mistakes. Also can’t understand him not taking Cole Eiserman at #18 when the team needs scoring. Getting rid of Debrincat (40 goal scorer) to draft Korchinski also looks like it may not have been smart. Hoping Levshunov and Boisvert pan out but not sold on Davidson as GM currently. Don’t trust his drafting right now.
