That aligns with my theory that people are hearing different versions of Azeroth's song depending on their ''predominant'' cosmic alignment. Alleria is hearing Void, Anduin is hearing Light and maybe Magni was hearing Order.

I was doing Tomb Of Sargeras and i noticed Sargeras avatar has a dragon skull on his shoulder. AAAALSO the Decolate Host apperantly holds a crystal similar to the Tear of Elune, and ironicly enough the Tear of Elune goes right there.

I've always felt that it would be very iconic if Azeroth, the creator of the universe, was a dragon. Bathed in pure radiant fire. It just feels right. Also Arrival is an insanely good movie. Shows the potential of how language can shape understanding of reality.

Hi Pyro, great video. Thanks for the thoughts. At university I studied linguistics, specifically ancient. I wouldn't say that there is anything inherently in language being derived from the old gods. This is how language is formed. If it is of interest, take a look at the development of Proto-Indo-European languages. You identify some very interesting things, but we cannot inherently derive any narrative design from it. If there is some narrative design by the lore team of wow, then they place too much emphasis on the formation of languages and would simply be a superficial way to infer influence. True influence comes through the use of the language, not the design itself.

It is rpg lore but Acheras the custodian, a keeper of Khazgoroth, “He was programmed to understand most tongues, and manipulates crystals on his left forearm in order to access them.” In game we have a quest to retrieve “ tear of the moons” from the ruins of bael modan. Then in hearthstone it says the gem was a piece of a naru. My brain puts all that together as a naru gem was one of the gems one his arm. Another connection of titans and light. Always fun to speculate and I appreciate the streams.

Some Loa also have weird names, like Shadra's full name is 'Elortha no Shadra', and Mueh'zala's full name is 'Ueetay no Mueh'zala'. It really seems like the primal gods of the zandalari and by extension all trolls and elves come from the old gods, especially since Shadra is a literal spider which most insects come from the old gods, and Mueh'zala is the Loa of death who uses shadow magic so he can't possibly be related to Yogg Saron.

I would also like to add something to the thoughts on the runic language and domination if you’ve ever read the book series Eragon. In that book series it dealt with the true names of elements, items, people, and creatures. If you knew the true name, you could manipulate it, saying the word fire and the true language would manipulate fire Now, what if the language of domination is the first one language and knowing that language understanding that language, putting that language onto someone or something could control them or it. manipulate other things, souls, people, whatever the idea behind the runic language of domination, I would assume that it is the wielders understanding that can shape anything to their bidding. We have seen instances of controlling people, dominating people and if you look at the frostnourne, it cleaved souls absorbing part of it, while the other part went back to the Shadowlands separating souls, I’m sure there’s other instances in which domination manipulated. The thing is , it’s the understanding of that language that causes people to see and hear it and once you’re touched by it, you can’t unsee that language within the world. I think that understanding is why people who have been touched by domination have lost their mind and you’re seeing Anduin struggle with that right now.

A point at the end of this video, where you said perhaps "we will sing the song," reminds me of the Waystones of the Firest Ones in Shadowloands, the very one that allowed us to travel from the Maw to Oriboros. Only we "the heros, could activate it," perhaps due to our connection wtih Azeroth. Anyway, peaked a thought.

I like where this is going. Let me throw another monkey wrench into the system though. Mathematics. Music, like language, is mathematical. Music, math, and language share in common the ability to create and understand strings of symbols that allow “infinite” combinations. The same brain area, in humans (not necessarily orcs or other species) all work on the language of math and the language of music. Patterns become apparent with time signatures, the arraignments of variables such as pitch and cadence. All of it can be assessed in mathematical terms, even if we don't recognize it so easily. If you look at science, it's core language is math. Look at music, same thing. So, what if the "music" we are haring has the information that connects everything through something like math. Way too esoteric for my brain at noon on a Sunday, for sure.

I think zovaal and his sigils is just a rip-off of the finnish epic kalevala where the great seer väinämöinen has to seek the missing runes for his song from tuonela (the underworld) so he can build a boat through singing for the pohjolas daughter.

If you look at the cosmic chart, the fundamental forces opposite of each other probably have the most dissimilar languages, meaning they can understand one another the least. The light vs the Void, Order vs Disorder, Life vs Death. However, their adjacent forces probably have languages most similar. If Sargeras speaks the language of the Titans (Order), then it must have been quite the undertaking for him to learn the language of the Demons (Disorder) in order to command them. But maybe it was for the purpose of learning the language most opposite to his native tongue, which would bring him closer to understanding the First Ones because from their he may be able to decode Light and Death because they are adjacent to Disorder. Now Sargeras burns in Fire as if he is Radiant, but if you look at some of the cosmic chart images, The 6 elements can appear at the intersections of the 6 cosmic forces. At the intersection of Light and Fel is Fire. Another thing is that Sargeras is described as going "mad." That is generally described as a consequence of the Void which is adjacent to Order on the cosmic chart. Could he have originally deciphered the language of Shadow which lead to others viewing him as "mad." Then went ahead to learn The language of Disorder when he defected to the Nether and assembled the Legion? Could his fiery form we see in Legion be due to him incorporating Light with Fel to reshape as a being of Fire? He may understand 4 out of the 6 cosmic languages already, at least partially. His Legion is also responsible for the creation of the lich king, but we know that they commissioned the creation of those Donimation artifacts from the Primus. So he may not fully understand Death, but he could understand Life. If the theory of Dragons being the origin and Azeroth possibly being Draconic is true, that could explain why Pyro sees Sargeras form in Legion as appearing Draconic. Maybe through his journey of acquiring knowledge of the languages to other cosmic forces, his form began to change to resemble a Dragon. This could go even further because Neltharion is likely a fractal of Sargeras however his journey ended at his time with the void. The element of Earth intersects at Order and Void. We know the Aspects were ordered and with him being the Earth Warder, he was likely going to be introduced to the Void no matter what, especially with the Old Gods being locked under the surface of Azeroth. Death also being far from Order (not opposite but still on the other side of the chart placement wise) probably is another connection between the Titan pantheon and Argus. A titan who understands Death may have brought them closer to unlocking the puzzle as they already have a Life-Titan in Eonar. As an aside, the Dark Heart turning other forces into Shadow may actually act as an advance ancient "translation" tool. Xal could be using that as a way to reverse engineer the other languages by translating them to one she understands in order to begin to learn the language of the First Ones as well. I do wonder what the Dragon Soul did because the Dark Heart is said to be a similar artifact. Also I wonder who created these artifacts.

Maybe “the song must not end” isn’t more or less that we will sing to Azeroth to awaken her, but to keep her sleeping. Much like Azethoth is kept asleep through songs. If we stop, if whatever is the original source of the singing (I paraphrase Firim “who will continue singing if not the first ones”) then she will actually awaken, putting an end to reality as reality is a conjured set of dreams within her mind. The cosmological forces are dreams, the 6 are the 7th and the 7th is the 6 but they are the same. It could even be theorized that Azeroth herself hums in her sleep, creating the very first language through “song” and if Azeroth is humming it could be implied that either herself or whoever first heard her are the “first ones” (All crazy speculations)

The most mind-blowing connection for me was with Azshara. In the Quran, the name "ash-shira" is mentioned and is referring to the actual star, Sirius (the brightest star on our sky). And as for wow lore, we know that Azshara was the "brightest" of highborn, with the most potential when it comes to Arcane magics. She was, for all intents and purposes, as their queen... their brightest star. Not only that, but last time we saw her, she basically went into a nether portal, possibly to a cosmic location where she would toil with who-know-what elements, energies and factions. Also, when we fight her, we stand, basically, in the "circle of stars"

Holy Sh**! well i wasn't expecting goosebumps todays. Thank you for that. This dovetails into my theory about the players and who we are and why we're so special. the last 20 years has been Azeroth expanding our minds. yes, we didn't start as her chosen, but once we caught her eye with Ragnaros in the Molten Core, she's been interested in us. We started to get buffs before the Lich King and definitely after we took down Deathwing. and the buffs aren't for our normal stats either, they're for things like language and charisma because think about it: we're able to charm our way into just about anyone's good graces (if only for a time in the cases where we needed to infiltrate an enemy) including the mantid, who only want to kill us after their master returns.

If dreadlords are studying etymology than mortals have been their cypher. The legion would also be a great tool to keep other forces from learning after it scorch earth destroys those who don't assimilate. This could be a scheme not unique to the dreadlords. If some of the titans have in fact been ordered then what were they ordered from, perhaps the puppeteer of the Pantheon is collecting puzzle pieces in a similar way. The big thing is none of the forces who may be involved or aware of the language race have clued mortals in, at least not without taking their free will. The power, the real power has been entrusted to us.

I was thinking, since elves are like eevee, BEs and NEs should maybe be concerned that they are by default of a type of magic/sphere High elves were tied to arcane from the start, the rangers were like NEs, who are tied to both arcane and nature/spirit. Blood elves are tied to the light and arcane, but a BE ranger is also tied to nature. And in BC they were tied to fel, which some still are. Void elves replace the light with void, apparently severing their connection to the light, but retaining their connection to arcane. Now, dark rangers are connected to death, but also the void through the cult of the forgotten shadow, and to arcane through their high elf nature, and to nature through them being rangers. I think they're the most well rounded people on azeroth in term of the speres of creation. A dark ranger that was a blood elf rather than high elf in life would be connected to every single of the shperes of creation.

The chipped tablet speaking of the ancient one and them sacrificing beings to it. I’m pretty sure that Murel from the Beta trailer is depicting this exact same thing. If we’re taking that Murel as an early look into that old god, and chronical book 3 has that same old god in the top right wrapped in vibes/roots. Could we also take that old Hearthstone card “the ancient one” and assume that they are all one and the same. We already know what this ancient one looks like.

Old Gods mention the circle nearing completion. Do you think it's possible the players, the heroes, are the First Ones, and we're stuck in a time loop? Titans wouldnt want us to know about true mortal potential and it might even be why all the forces despise mortals or rather taught everyone under them to. Mortals technically seem to be the origin of souls anyway, and what if that's just what the Titans and other realm pantheons are ultimately infused with, a mortal soul. We saw how the Eternal Ones and later, the new Arbiter, were made. It doesnt seem like their souls are really immortal, they're just tied to their plane of reality, as we are bound to Azeroth. It's not like Aman'Thul/Norgannon would want us to know he's just as fallible as a mortal. Imagine a powerful soul like Azshara in a Titan body.

The aliens in arrival are peaceful so kinda like the old gods because they are both squid like but the heptapods are entirely peaceful they don't want to harm anything they teach their language so that we can understand that they only want to help us and will not harm us so that we can help them later on the old gods are malevolent
