I'm an Olympus shooter ( agree the new name sucks) The 150-400 is a dream lens. Talk about amazing. But, my favorite lens is my 40-150 2.8 pro. Yeah it won't do a vlogger much good. But I recently picked up the 2x teleconverter( yes I'm one of those guys now) and damn they work well together. Shot side by side with a Sony guy the other day who had the 200-600. He had a mono pod I had to hand hold ( and I cannot do it well these days, getting old). For kicks I did a side by side poll and 6 out of 7 people thought my image was better. Before anyone says user error, he is a well established excellent photographer. So stick that in your 4 1/2lb pipe Sony. :)

The magic lens for Olympus is the 12-100mm f4 Pro. Amazing sharpness and versatility and it has lens stabilization that works with camera stabilization. Most unique and useful Micro Four Thirds lens is the Panasonic Leica 10-25mm f1.7. Fabulous wide zoom, only lacks lens stabilization and a lens that fast is going to be heavy so no non tripod vlogging. Best magic vlogging zoom lens - Olympus 8-25mm f4.0. I can talk about Sony & Canon. My opinions. For Song magical lenses - 90mm F2.8 macro (best macro in my opinion), 35mm f1.8 (least focus breathing and fastest focusing), 20mm f1.8(you already mentioned), 14mm f1.8 gm (widest sharpest prime) & 135mm f1.8( best Bokeh lens). In Zooms Tamron 35-150mm F2 to f2.8 (best zoom lens period) and 17-28 mm f2.8 (best value lens period). For Canon - 24-105mm f4 ( Sharper and more stable than Sony), 85mm f1.2(best 85), 28-70mm f2.0 (most insane zoom lens ever), 15-35mm f2.8 (again more sharper and stable than Sony). That new vr lens for Canon R5.

I have the 18mm f/1.4. It's super amazing. Stays glued to my X-T4 as an EDC. If Fuji can fix the AF of the X-H to match at least the A7iii or Riv it would be amazing. As a baby filmmaker looking at my first cinema setup in 2017, I picked the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 Art lens* before the camera. This gave me multiple options, since I could get it in a variety of mounts. So I suppose that's somewhat contrary to this video's suggested doctrine of thought. But I did end up choosing the EF mount version of the BMCC 2.5K with the thought that I could use the EF Sigma without a speed booster and get a focal range I liked for cinema, then collect Canon's solid lineup of EF glass on future, higher-budget projects. Canon's supercheap, ok-quality 50mm f/1.8 was also part of this consideration. I know I'll upgrade my camera eventually, but I may never sell that Sigma. I love that thing. (*Not for vegans).

Got my Leica summilux 50mm asph. before I even got a body. It's a god-tier lens, really sharp wide open, buttery smooth bokeh, fantastic color, amazing 3d pop/micro contrast, small and compact, amazing build quality.. There are faster lenses, but they're massive.. I shoot it on a Nikon Z6, with the idea that I will get a Leica film body at some point and I'll be able to use all my lenses. I've owned this lens before, sold it for a 50mm f/1 noctilux, but it was too soft, too big and had a huge focus throw. Magical lens in the right circumstances, but the summilux just beats it. I've had two versions of the 35mm f/1.2 Nokton from Voigtlander.. crazy good lens as well, but the Leica has the edge when it comes to sharpness and lack of CA.
