I was originally just a casual fan of wilbur soot. I never expected this to explode as much as it did, it gave me friends and art inspiration. It also introduced me to many more creators like ponk and manifold. I was also a causal watcher of sad-ist, having her old animatics on my recommended and im so fucking glad that she blew up from the original animatic. This fandom is great. And its difficult to take a break from because holy shit there's too many perspectives. Fundys doing something Bbh is being evil? Karl is being pog. Tommyinnit is angry like always. Ghostbur and glatt did a fusion dance and Mexican dream might be in there. Jack manifold and niki are angry at Tommy. Technoblade is vibing. Phil is vibing. Ranboo is trying to vibe but the little green man in his head is vibe checking him.

Honestly my favorite thing about the smp is one moment where dream said that he doesn’t stream on it because he wants his viewers to watch his friends streams so they get more fans/ the recognition they deserve. It really tugged on the heart strings because most people (me included) started watching someone like tommyinnit because he was streaming on the smp. After that I started watching people like Wilbur, fundy, sapnap, George, and everyone else on the smp. He could have kept streaming, made mad money, and kept his fans to himself but he decided to take his massive fanbase and have them watch others to get entertainment from the smp because he saw the potential of what his friends were doing. It’s something I don’t see often.

Yes, that's one of the things I like the most. The creators aren't competing for views, they are supportive, and everyone can clearly see that they all want the others to succeed. Dream made this SMP but is not at all profiting from it since he doesn't make the content, his friends do. They get the views that come from his name and he doesn't get anything in return besides a lot of fun. I may not particularly like Dreams content (it's not bad, just not my thing), but I really respect what he did for the community around the SMP a lot.

i think a big part of why the dream smp is so good is the fact that even though the lore is deep and gets emotional at times, sometimes someone cracks a joke and you remember that it's just a bunch of good friends fucking around in a block video game. they manage to make a good storyline, address heavy topics (such as depression, suicide, manipulation, absentee parents, etc), all while being genuinely funny and interactive with the community.

It's great to see that someone's finally made a video on this, despite me being so late to see it. I seriously don't understand why the DreamSMP gets so much hate, apart from Twitter and some Stans. But you can't blame the CC's for that. The story is very interesting, the acting is realistic, the characters and their personalities are very varied and likable. And, even the viewers get to have an impact on the story. Along with the community itself, which is beyond the most friendly I've been in, within a country mile. You can even catch up on lore/what missed and save yourself from spending hours upon hours watching streams by watching Character Analysis', Story Tells and the 'Full Story' videos made by that one Strawberry guy who I forgot the name of.

@@Bulptheblob Ah right! That does make sense, there's not really a main plot in the storyline that much anymore compared to 2020 and such. From what's happening today and probably going forward, there's just a bunch of mini stories scattered all over the place. The stories aren't bad as described, but they just feel a bit out of place and lack something. The only storyline I'm interested in at this moment in time is Quackity's Las Nevadas arc, since nothing else is really moving forward with lore right now except from that.
